'Ouija 2' Conjures October 2016 Release

All signs point to "Yes" for a sequel to "Ouija," Blumhouse Productions' hit 2014 supernatural horror film.

Deadline reports Universal Pictures has staked out Oct. 21, 2016, for the sequel, with the "Oculus" team of Mike Flanagan and Jeff Howard attached to write the screenplay.

Hasbro's first horror film, "Ouija" centered on a group of kids that summons something evil while trying to use a spirit board to contact a dead friend. Produced on a budget of just$5 million, "Ouija" was a sleeper hit, grossing more than $100 million worldwide.
