A new piece of fan art by DC artist Otto Schmidt combines DC and Frozen with Black Canary as Elsa. The image, shared by Schmidt on Twitter, features Dinah Lance donning a Frozen-inspired version of her iconic outfit. She wears a cape that is similar to the one Elsa wears in Frozen 2, but stands out with yellow accents around the collar, waist and wrists. To give it more of a Frozen touch, there are even icicles embedded in Black Canary's fishnet stockings and boots. "The Black 'Ice Queen' Canary with the Frosting Cry," Schmidt captioned the image. "Dinah as Elsa."RELATED: Otto Schmidt Draws EVERY Black Canary Incarnation, Ever

The art has two panels. The first has Black Canary in a battle stance, her legs apart and her palms facing an invisible enemy, as snow and wind blow her hair and cape. On the second panel, Schmidt zooms in on Black Canary and shows her unleashing her powerful Canary Cry -- or "Frosting Cry" as Schmidt calls it -- at her enemy. The sonic waves emanating from her mouth join the snow and wind that continue to whip around her. In reply to a fan, Schmidt called the piece "an example of my typical procrastinations."

Created by Robert Kanigher and Carmine Infantino, Black Canary made her DC debut in 1947 in Flash Comics #86. The character has appeared in various media over the years, notably Justice League Unlimited and CW's Arrow. She made her cinematic debut in the DCEU film Birds of Prey.

Otto Schmidt is a long time comic artist; he is credited for his work on various titles including Green Arrow and Harley Quinn.
