Otto And Director Romanek Join Locke & Key

The television adaptation of IDW's Locke & Key has found a director for its pilot, as well as its leading lady. Is it too early to get excited about this being picked up for a series yet?

Mark Romanek - a former music video and commercials director who crossed over to movies with 2002's One Hour Photo - will direct the pilot for Locke according to a report on Deadline Hollywood, which also reports that Miranda Otto will play Locke matriarch Nina. Otto's previous roles have included Eowyn in the two latter Lord of The Rings movies, as well as parts in War Of The Worlds and ABC's shortlived Cashmere Mafia series. The Fox pilot, produced by Fringe's Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, will be written by Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' Josh Friedman.
