The popular Mortal Kombat franchise has taken playful shots at tonight's 2019 Academy Awards ceremony by releasing a trio of posters parodying some of the films that have been nominated for Best Picture. The video game's official social media accounts released the posters, starting with one titled "Baraka." That one pokes fun of the poster for Alfonso Alfonso Cuarón's Netflix hit drama, Roma, but instead of a family embracing on a sea shore, we see skulls and bones, likely of Baraka's victims.RELATED: The Mortal Kombat 11 Trailer is Even Better With The Original MK ThemeThere's also a Sub-Zero themed poster titled "Ice." That poster uses negative space to mimic the poster for Adam McKay's Vice, which saw Christian Bale playing former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Lastly, Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, the first superhero film to be nominated in this category, gets a parody featuring MK11 returning character Kabal, The character uses his signature hooks to mock the Wakanda Forever salute from the film. The title on that poster is"Black Dragon," which is the criminal organization led by Kano that Kabal works for.
