Marvel Comics has officially declared Oscar Isaac is portraying the future Marvel Cinematic Universe hero Moon Knight in the upcoming Disney+ series.

A tweet from the Marvel Twitter account reads, "'WE ARE MOONKNIGHT' - Oscar Isaac #MoonKnight" with a cropped photo of Isaac in front of a wall full of Moon Knight comic book art.

Oscar Isaac was first reported to be playing Moon Knight in October 2020. However, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige did not confirm Isaac's casting during a Disney Investor presentation in December, which included the official announcements of Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk, Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel and more.

This didn't stop Moon Knight cinematographer Gregory Middleton from confirming Oscar Isaac in the title role in January, or Isaac himself from posting his Moon Knight training videos on social media. Now it appears Marvel Comics has decided not to keep up the ruse any longer as well.

Directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead and written by Jeremy Slater, Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac, May Calamawy and Ethan Hawke. The series has yet to receive a premiere date.
