“Orphan Black” is a Canadian television series starring actress Tatiana Maslany as five separate clones all born in 1984 to various women via in vitro fertilization. Several of those clones came together in the show’s early seasons to unravel the mystery of conception and why they were being hunted down, while others defended those secrets from within or went their own way.

The show’s fourth season focused on the Neolution threat, based off the movement that resulted in the clone project being greenlit in the first place. The movement believes that humans can direct their evolution using scientific knowledge and is backed by the wealthy Dyad Institute corporation.
