“Orphan Black,” the clone intrigue-fueled sci-fi show starring Tatiana Maslany, is readying for its fifth and final season. A new series of pictures released by the Space network reveal that the show will bring together the Clone Club's main players and allies for one last push to take down the nefarious Dyad Institute.
“Orphan Black” is a Canadian television series starring actress Tatiana Maslany as five separate clones all born in 1984 to various women via in vitro fertilization. Several of those clones came together in the show’s early seasons to unravel the mystery of conception and why they were being hunted down, while others defended those secrets from within or went their own way.
The show’s fourth season focused on the Neolution threat, based off the movement that resulted in the clone project being greenlit in the first place. The movement believes that humans can direct their evolution using scientific knowledge and is backed by the wealthy Dyad Institute corporation.
The show’s fifth season will go back to pitting two of the rival clones, the con woman protagonist Sarah and corporate shill Rachel, against each other, and looks to bring back key characters from previous seasons for the climactic finale.
Debuting on June 10 on the Space network, the fifth season of “Orphan Black” is a production of Temple Street Productions created by Graeme Manson and John Fawcett that stars Tatiana Maslany, Dylan Bruce, Jordan Gavaris, Kevin Hanchard, Michael Mando, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Evelyne Brochu, Ari Millen, Kristian Bruun and Josh Vokey.
