"This is war," Tatiana Maslany's Sarah Manning states plainly in the first trailer for Orphan Black's third season, making it clear the acclaimed sci-fi drama will be just as intense when it returns in April to BBC America.

"Being Orphan Black, we hit the ground running, of course," co-creator Graeme Manson told Entertainment Weekly, assuring fans the action picks up effectively where it left off. "No six months go by."

In addition to some of the clones played by Maslany, the trailer also features Ari Millen as the male clones of Project Castor, who'll make their presence felt in the upcoming season. However, Manson isn't willing to say just how many there are.

"A few. Like our Leda clones, we don’t like to introduce them lightly," he said. "We don’t do a lot of red shirts. And I think that holds true with these guys. How many of them are there actually? Well, that’s part of the mystery too."

Orphan Black returns April 18 on BBC America.
