Original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Appear on Nickelodeon's Animated Series

The original animated Heroes in a Half Shell will appear this month in an episode of Nickelodeon's hit "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

According to IGN, the original voice actors will reprise their roles in "Trans-Dimensional Turtles," which finds the modern Turtles -- Seth Green as Leonardo, Sean Astin as Raphael, Rob Paulsen as Donatello and Greg Cipes as Michelangelo -- transported to another dimension, where they meet their 1980s counterparts.

The episode will blend different types of animation to reflect the change in dimensions. What's more, Nickelodeon teases a third world that resembles Mirage Studios' "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" comics.

Cam Clarke returns as the voice of Leonardo, Rob Paulsen as Raphael, Barry Gordon as Donatello and Townsend Coleman as Michelangelo. Pat Fraley will also reprise his role as the original voice of Krang.

The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" episode "Trans-Dimensional Turtles" airs Sunday, March 27, at 11 a.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon.
