Original 'Ghostbusters' Heads Back to Theaters

Get ready to be slimed again.

Ahead of the premiere of the "Ghostbusters" reboot, the beloved 1984 original will return in June 8 more than 750 theaters across the country.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Fathom Event, a company owned by the AMC, Regal and Cinemark theater chains, will screen "Ghostbusters" on June 8 -- that's the date of its original release in 1984 -- with an encore on June 12. (Sorry, two days only!) Tickets go on sale May 6.

However, if you're in the New York City area, BBQ Films will stage three nights of "immersive screenings," beginning June 8, in a Brooklyn warehouse that will be transformed into Ghostbusters HQ.
