After following the inmates and staff and Litchfield Women's Penitentiary for the past six years, Netflix's Orange Is the New Black returns for its seventh and final season next month.

The streaming service has released the first trailer for the upcoming season, showing protagonist Piper Chapman adjusting to life on the outside as a free woman while her friends (and a few enemies) back in prison continue to struggle to find hope in their situation.

The emotional trailer offers a first look at all the fan-favorite characters together again, providing each other with words of wisdom  and encouragement as they prepare for the uncertain road ahead. In addition to the trailer, Netflix has released key art of the season's characters, illustrated by fans.

Premiering in 2013, Orange Is the New Black is a loose adaptation of the memoir of the same name by Piper Kerman and her experiences in minimum-security federal prison for a year.
