This article contains spoilers for Only Murders in the Building Season 2, Episode 10, "I Know Who Did It."

Ant-Man's Paul Rudd is officially joining the cast of Hulu's Only Murders in the Building for Season 3.

Rudd made a surprise appearance at the end of Season 2 and has now been confirmed to reprise the role of Broadway star Ben Glenroy in Only Murders in the Building's third season. It's currently unclear, however, whether Rudd will be a series regular, recurring or guest star. Series co-creator John Hoffman referenced Rudd's "auspicious entrance" in a statement to Variety, saying, "[Rudd] is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 -- as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!"

Rudd's Ben makes an auspicious entrance indeed in the epilogue of the Only Murders in the Building Season 2 finale. After a one-year time jump, Oliver (Martin Short) gets the chance to direct a play, and Charles (Steve Martin) lands a lead role in the production opposite Ben. On opening night, Ben tells Oliver he wants to kill Charles for something he did in the past, hinting at a history between the two. Charles later confronts Ben, telling him, "Be smart. Stay away from her," and "I know what you did." The "her" Charles refers to is left a mystery, and just as the show begins, Ben collapses onstage and dies, kickstarting what's sure to be Season 3's murder investigation.

Based on the heated exchange between Charles and Ben, Charles appears to be the prime suspect in Ben's apparent murder -- but nothing is ever quite as it seems with Only Murders in the Building. Regardless, fans are surely in for some gasp-inducing revelations by way of flashbacks starring Rudd and Martin in Season 3.
