The point of One-Punch Man is parody: The utter annihilation of shonen clichés by means of hilariously spectacular hyperbole. Almost every important character in the story is terrifyingly strong— some more than others, of course— but does this mean that all of them deserve the same honor and prestige?

In fact, it could be argued that the Superhero Association contains very few truly overwhelmingly powerful members, because several antagonists have proven time and again that they aren't all that they are made up to be. In this case, is it possible to obtain a clear system of power ranking to compare characters? And, most importantly: Can anyone possibly be stronger than Saitama?

10 Black Sperm Has Held His Own Against Atomic Samurai, Tatsumaki, And Genos

Golden Sperm in OPM

Black Sperm is ranked under Dragon, making him one of the most intimidating villains to ever appear in the series. He is talented enough to counter Atomic Samurai effortlessly, pushing the powerful S-Class Hero to the brink of defeat.

The most dangerous aspect of his character is his ability to transform into Golden Sperm (a monster that Amai Mask claims would require the full strength of the S-Class to contain, and barely that, too). Black Sperm also proves that he's considerably more agile than Genos, as well as by overcoming Tatsumaki, although it must be stated that she's severely exhausted at the time.

9 Silver Fang Is The Most Skilled Martial Artist In The World, Even At His Advanced Age

Anime Silver Fang holding a blue ball One-Punch Man

Silver Fang is hands down the most adept martial combatant in the world, to the point that he's indirectly responsible for Garou being so overpowered. In fact, the latter even mentions that his sensei is beyond his abilities, at least while in human form. All of this, and the man is ancient; imagine how amazing he must have been in his prime.

Silver Fang, unlike Saitama, may not be able to wreck an entire meteorite, but is more than enough to shatter the remaining pieces. Further, he cannot beat Elder Centipede in a one-on-one, but with Bomb, he is able to break parts of the creature's gigantic armor plating.

8 Elder Centipede Can Destroy Entire Cities With Ease

Speaking of Elder Centipede, the biggest point in its favor is that it fought against Blast, the hero atop the S-Class rankings, and survived. And it wasn't even in its completed state at the time.

Since it's quite massive, this monster can easily flatten city blocks by just moving over them, and rips Genos into two sputtering fragments in the blink of an eye. Elder Centipede's Mukade Ou Uneri, or Giant Centipede Tidal Wave, is a technique that can cause incredible damage to a vast area within a very short period of time.

7 Tatsumaki Can Hold A City-Sized Spaceship In Place With Her Mind

Tatsumaki

The Tornado of Terror is a hero, but her powers are nothing short of monstrous— Tatsumaki is capable of telekinetically holding the Dark Matter Thieves' city-sized spaceship in place, not to mention redirecting their missiles simultaneously back at them.

One of the most impressive feats in her repertoire is her borderline victory over Psykos, who had already begun combining with Orochi. Most importantly, Superalloy Darkshine mentions that Garou would be destroyed if he ever attempted to battle Tatsumaki.

6 Garou Was Barely Effected By Saitama's Punch

Anime One Punch Man Garou Bandages

In his fight with Saitama, Garou triggers three of his monster forms, the second one of which is immeasurably strong and durable. In fact, the metamorphosis is perceived by his opponent (but doesn't faze him in the slightest.)

Garou's singular attacks are capable of ravaging massive areas of the city, and, most shockingly, doesn't die instantly when hit by Saitama's normal punch. Actually, it barely even dents him. The third level is probably more powerful, but the extent of its capacity remains unknown.

5 Psykos-Orochi's Wave Blasts Could Crumble The Entire World In Just A Few Shots

One Punch Man Orochi Psykos Merged

When Orochi incorporates Psykos into his anatomy, they form an enormous tentacled beast which is so fast and strong that Tatsumaki is pushed back in combat. Physically, the fusion is able to generate spectacularly humongous waves that impact a sizeable fraction of the world.

In addition, it can wield the elemental force of gravity, produce various shapes and forms, and intensifies Psykos' telekinesis so much that it can dominate Tatsumaki into yielding control of her specialized techniques.

4 Boros Possesses Limitless, World-Destroying Internal Energy

Boros

Boros has been blessed with an inexhaustible source of internal energy, which allows him to spawn world-wrecking blasts, regain any damage to his health in a fight, and has the honor of being the first ever to shrug off an attack from the Caped Baldy.

Interestingly, he is deceptively nimble, a feature that takes Saitama by surprise (temporarily). Boros' Meteoric Burst and Housei Houkouhou, or Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon, are tactics that would tear nearly every S-Class Hero and Dragon-level Threat to shreds.

3 Blast Doesn't Even Bother With Minor Enemies, As They'd Be A Waste Of His Immense Power

One Punch Man Blast posing

Blast, even in the manga and webcomic, is only alluded to with the help of flashback narratives, told from the perspectives of Tatsumaki and Fubuki. His abilities are so highly prized that he doesn't show up to fight minor enemies, considering them beneath his level of proficiency.

Gyoro Gyoro suggests that he wouldn't find it tricky to take down Elder Centipede in its completely molted form. Finally, Blast has, in the past, overcome a ninja warrior who was considered to be gifted enough to take down multiple S-Class heroes at the same time.

2 Saitama Is Called One-Punch Man For A Reason

Anime One Punch Man Saitama Crater

Astonishing as it may seem, Saitama may not be the strongest character in the series, but there is no clear comparison between him and the entity that will be mentioned next. As of now, he is leagues beyond the Hero and Monster Associations, probably even combined.

His punches are terrifying enough to Genos that they appear to the latter as a metaphor for impending doom, and he easily neutralizes Boros' ultimate technique. Saitama tolerates the severe environment of space (all he needs to do apparently is hold his nose to conserve breath). If Saitama's power has limits, they are certainly as of yet unknown.

1 God May Be The True Source Of Saitama's Power

God in One-Punch Man

God is a cryptic being that possesses the ability to transfer and extract immense levels of power to and from others. It supposedly bestows upon Homeless Emperor a special ability that permits him to create minuscule versions of the sun, literally speaking. Strangely, it doesn't even have a proper form.

Likewise, the Psykos-Orochi blend has also obtained an enormous augmentation due to this entity's blessings. Where has it come from? What is its purpose? Is God the true source of Saitama's unreasonable power?
