Not much is known about Saitama, the main character of the hit anime One-Punch ManSure, everyone knows that he can defeat any foe with just a single punch (unless he's holding back 99.99% of his power), but besides that, he's mostly a mystery. Across two seasons and over 90 manga chapters, fans still don't even know his full name!

Since the first time fans witnessed Saitama take out an intimidating monster without even trying, they began to flood their search engines with thousands of questions concerning the famous "Caped Baldy." Here are 10 questions about Saitama that fans were dying to know the answers to.

10 Why is Saitama So Powerful?

In earlier episodes of One-Punch Man, fans got the privilege of seeing Saitama with hair in flashbacks. He defeated a bipedal crab monster that went by the name Crablante, although he didn't walk away from that fight unscathed. Since he wasn't always as strong as he is now, some extremely notable event must have happened in his life that granted him such awesome power, right?

According to Saitama, every day for a year and a half, his training regimen consisted of 100 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, a 10-kilometer run, and 100 squats. He also avoided using the air conditioner or heater and made sure to eat three meals a day. This is the only explanation to his strength that fans have been provided, but many theories have since surfaced to explain the actual source to Saitama's power.

9 Why Isn't Saitama An S-Class?

If there was anything that this newest season of One-Punch Man showed fans, it's that the hero ranking system is flawed. Someone like King, who isn't strong at all, managed to hold down a spot as a top S-Class hero. Saitama, who is able to take out God-Level threats without any flashy, special moves, is only listed as a B-Class hero.

When Saitama first took the test to join the Hero Association, he scored 71 points, having passed the physical test with flying colors but doing poorly on the written exam. From there, he earned points towards his advancement up the ranks through his participation in several missions, but not enough to claim an S-Class spot that he deserves. Given how many heroes were defeated in Season 2, it's only a matter of time before Saitama claims an S-Class spot that should have been his from the start.

8 How Fast is Saitama?

Besides Saitama, the second-fastest character in the series would have to be Speed-o'-Sound Sonic. Sonic is so fast that he can generate ten afterimages, giving the illusion that he's actually ten places at once. This means that at his maximum, he's several times faster than the speed of light. Saitama, on the other hand, can generate hundreds of afterimages just by jumping from side to side. In order to pull off such a feat, he would have to be moving faster than light itself in multiple short bursts.

Saitama is also capable of running an entire mile in a single second, as shown during the Hero Association fitness exam. He once jumped from the moon and made it back to Earth in seconds, meaning that he traveled over 2oo,000 miles in a matter of seconds, a trip that normally takes astronauts 4 to 6 days to accomplish. While his speed hasn't yet been quantified, the numerical value would probably be too long to write anyway.

7 Does Saitama Have Emotions?

Anime does saitama have emotions

Of course, he does! Although Saitama is mainly just bored because he hasn't found a worthy opponent yet,  he's shown to get pretty fired up when he loses at games, such as when Bang beat him several times at Rock, Paper, Scissors, and when King won every time they played a video game. He's also been shown to display concern for Genos in instances where Genos is injured in front of him, such as when Tatsumaki slammed him into a rock or even when Carnage Kabuto deflected Genos's flamethrower right back at him.

Saitama even felt a degree of shame upon realizing that he scored less than Genos during their official hero exam. There aren't too many things that give him excitement, but the things that do are often common to everyone else. When you're the strongest man on the face of the planet, what is there to really get that expressive about anyway?

6 What Does Saitama Eat?

Aside from the bananas that he ate every day for breakfast while training, Saitama is definitely particular about what he chooses to eat. In a special episode of One-Punch Man, Saitama sits down at a diner and orders a plate of fries, but when he notices that one fry is shorter than the others, he has the audacity to accuse the waitress of taking a bite!

He and Mumen Rider share mozuku at one point, and Saitama is shown at home drinking tea and cooking dinner with leaves from a monster's body that he defeated on his way home. He loves hot pot and got slightly annoyed after Fubuki, Bang, and Bomb went for the good meat first.

5 What Does Saitama Like to Do?

Saitama loves fighting strong opponents, although he's never really gotten the chance to do so outside of his dream with the Subterranean People. He often enjoys walking around the city with friends and even going shopping, so much so, Saitama loses his composure during his fight against Carnage Kabuto after realizing that he missed out on a bargain sale.

It is pretty ironic that he loves shopping so much despite being stingy with money. When you're that strong, who could stop you if you decide that you're entitled to a little five-finger discount? Luckily for everyone, Saitama is not that type of person.

4 Can Saitama Die?

Saitama may be practically invincible, but he's not immortal. He may not be getting killed onscreen anytime soon, but age will surely overtake his senses in decades to come. Time is a foe that even he won't be able to beat.

Unfortunately, One-Punch Man doesn't take place over the span of decades, so it's unlikely that fans will see their favorite bald hero as an old man, but fans do know that his whole reason for wanting to become a hero was because he enjoyed watching superhero movies as a child, serving as the proof that he wasn't always at 25-year-old powerhouse.

3 Is Genos Or Blast Stronger Than Saitama?

Blast is officially known as the strongest hero in existence, coming in at S-Class, Rank 1. He managed to defeat the Elder Centipede at one point, a monster so resilient that Genos, Bang, and Bomb couldn't take him down. So, Blast is undoubtedly stronger than Genos, who considers Saitama to be his master.

Currently, Blast is missing in action, and nobody knows when he will return, but he sure is taking his sweet time. It's hard to gauge whether or not he's stronger than Saitama until fans see him in action, especially since a couple of years have passed between the time he actually let the Elder Centipede escape, showing that at the time, he couldn't defeat the monster in one blow like Saitama was able to.

Blast may have improved his skills since that fight, but chances are, Blast's strongest technique still won't hold a candle to Saitama's "Serious Punch."

2 Does Saitama Have Any Weaknesses?

While he isn't shown to have any major weaknesses that can be exploited in battle, Saitama is far from perfect. When Saitama and Genos compete in an udon noodle eating contest, Genos outeats Saitama by a longshot. He also couldn't seem to beat King at any video game, or Bang in a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

It should be remembered that when Saitama had hair, he had plenty of mortal weaknesses. Maybe if he ever figures out how to cure his baldness, his weaknesses will return.

1 Does Saitama Have A Family?

There have been some theories about Blast being Saitama's father, especially since the two are not only the strongest heroes on the planet, but both wear a suit and cape. This theory might be flawed, since baldness is a paternal trait, and Blast is shown in the manga to have a full head of hair.

Even so, no one can be certain. There may be some familial connection to the two, but until they meet, fans will keep having to speculate who in the hell shares Saitama's genes. When we do eventually meet his family, we can only hope that they're also just as hairless.
