One Punch Man's webcomic, written by One, recently received a new chapter that gave the "Biker for Justice" a massive raise in his power levels, as reported by Sportskeeda. The typically underpowered hero arrived in the latest chapter to help his peers as they battled against robots destroying the city. However, rather than his typical costume, he came in a new powered-up suit that increased his strength and durability.

How Mumen Rider Powered Up

Mumen Rider appeared out of nowhere to stop an attack on Tank Top Master, who was close to being blasted. The hero, now under the name Neo Mumen, took the blast to the chest without flinching before fleeing with Tank Top. This sudden increase in his power came down to the suit he was given by the Neo Heroes, which enhanced his physical abilities. He, alongside the other Neo Heroes and the group known as The Hunters, used these suits to help defend the city from the robotic threat.

Satoru, the actual name of Mumen Rider, is a minor supporting character from the One Punch Man webcomic, it's manga remake illustrated by Yusuke Murata, and the anime originated by Madhouse (later taken over by J.C. Staff). The OPM series is set in a world where superheroes operate under the Hero Association to protect the world from threats. Mumen Rider is the number one ranked C-Class hero, and while he doesn't have superpowers outside of being good at cycling, he still does his best to save people.

The character is a fan favorite thanks to his strong will and determination in the face of impossible odds. He infamously battled against the Deep Sea King in one of the series' most popular fights. The battle saw the protagonist Saitama's apprentice, the powerful Genos, torn apart by the villain in a brutal beatdown. The "Biker for Justice" came to try and save the day but couldn't even put a scratch on the bad guy.

Despite this, he still fought on, proclaiming, "I'm weak. I know that much. No one has to tell me I have no chance of beating you. I already know that! And yet, I must try. It's not about winning or losing! It's about me taking you on right here, right now!" This brave act inspired those around him, keeping the villain occupied until Saitama appeared to take him down. This selfless act instantly made him a popular character among readers and viewers.

One Punch Man's anime currently has two seasons available to watch on Hulu and Netflix. The series has been confirmed for a third season, but there is no information yet on what studio will produce it. The manga is available to read in English via Viz Media.
