WARNING: The following article spoilers for One-Punch Man Chapter 124, by ONE, Yusuke Murata, John Werry, James Gaubatz, available now in English from Viz Media.

After defeating Gyoro-Gyoro, Tatsumaki/Terrible Tornado realized the beast wasn't actually the true leader of the Monster Association. Instead, there was an esper controlling things from behind-the-scenes. Tornado eventually figured out this person was a friend of her sister, Fubuki/Blizzard, and was hiding somewhere deep underground. However, little else was explained about the identity of this mysterious new woman. Now, One-Punch Man Chapter 124 has revealed her name and threat level.

Initially appearing in One-Punch Man Chapter 121, the mysterious Monster Association leader quickly found herself under attack from Tornado, whose incredible psychic abilities allowed her to mangle the group's true head honcho from afar. While the Monster Association leader attempted to call in Overgrown Pochi to assist, Blizzard, Bang and Bomb took down that dog-themed villain by asking him to sit last chapter.

Realizing Saitama and Flashy Flash are quickly approaching her underground lair via minecart, the woman summons the strength to grab an elixir from a nearby table and drinks it down. This seemingly results in a massive boost to her abilities, and she brags, "Gyoro-Gyoro was nothing! I will teach them to fear the psychic power of Psychos." The manga then reveals Psychos is threat level Dragon, making her among the most dangerous villains in the manga.

While Gyoro-Gyoro and the Monster Association's various top-ranking fighters have had mixed success against the Hero Association and its various members, Psychos seems like something different in entirely. Firstly, she appears for all intents and purposes to still be human, having not undergone the monsterization process. Secondly, before her power boost, she was able to control Gyoro-Gyoro and manipulate the Monster Association from afar, thus she was already somewhat powerful. Although the exact extent of her physical abilities weren't clear before, Psychos seems confident she'll be able to stand against the Hero Association, and she might just be right.

Tornado is one of the most powerful heroes in One-Punch Man, second only to Saitama and -- perhaps -- Blast, though it's hard to be certain, as he hasn't appeared physically in the manga yet. At the end of Chapter 124, Psychos seems to have broken free from Tornado's attack. While it's likely Tornado's attention was broken when, at the end of Chapter 123, she sensed Blizzard's presence at the Monster Association HQ, this mysterious elixir seems to have removed all fear Psychos has of the powerful S-Class hero. With this upgrade, One-Punch Man is building to an incredible showdown not just between Psychos and Tornado, but also with Saitama, as well.

The next chapter of One-Punch Man in English releases May 20 from Viz Media.
