Flashy Flash is an obvious choice for any fan artists who want to draw One Punch Man fan art. He is a very good-looking character, whose luxurious blonde hair and full eyelashes give him a slightly delicate, sophisticated appearance, juxtaposing him against some of the more burly or goofy looking heroes in the Hero Association.
He’s also a really interesting character and very strong hero, making him hard to ignore. Plus, he has a relationship with Speed O’ Sound Sonic, who is definitely a fan favorite character, making him even more intriguing. It’s no wonder there’s so much incredible Flashy Flash fan art out there celebrating this great character.
10 With Drive Knight
One of the most difficult ways to draw is by using pencil and pen on paper. It’s hard to make it look finished and to clean it up, since the materials used can be smudgy. But some of the best pieces of fan art, like this one, are done in just this style, and the messy look to them can actually be a great part of what makes them work. Here, it’s easy to see the steps the artist took in making the piece, with the pencil sketch lines still visible, making it even more impressive.
9 Sparkles
One of the amusing things about Flashy Flash is that he’s so beautiful that he actually sparkles. Artist Linyi.enthusiast chose to focus this portrait of him on that fact, really emphasizing the sparkles that always seem to follow him around and shine on his hair and clothes. He’s so pretty here that he almost looks like Legolas from Lord of the Rings, like he isn’t quite human and has a magical quality to his appearance.
8 Manga Redraw
One of the fun ways that artists can practice their craft and develop their style is to redraw their favorite characters in their own particular style, as Amelda-Aini has done here with Flashy Flash. They have taken a panel that they particularly liked from the One Punch Man manga, redrawing it in their own style and adding color to a page that would usually be black and white. The use of colored pencils gives it a smudgy, stylistic look that works really well on the character.
7 Ponytail
Speed O’ Sound Sonic is one of the only other characters in One Punch Man who also has long hair. But unlike Flashy Flash, he usually wears it tied up on the back of his head. Flashy Flash leaves his long and hanging loose usually.
So it’s no wonder that artists like ThatLogic have the urge to take a stab at drawing Flashy Flash with his hair up as well. He’s a little more vain and pretty than Sonic, so of course his ponytail is more for looks than utility.
6 Baby Flashy Flash
It’s hard to imagine that a stoic, serious, and focused hero character like Flashy Flash was ever a child, but artist 15stepsdown attempted to create what they thought the character might look like at age 11. The product is expectedly very adorable, with a still very serious-faced little boy who clearly looks at the world through focused eyes, absorbing everything. That didn’t stop them from also drawing him with some tears in his eyes, because that’s too adorable to pass up.
5 Portrait
Buruzaitama has gone for a straightforward portrait of the character in this fan art piece. The painting gives Flashy Flash a slightly more realistic look than the anime, giving the impression of what he might look like if he were a real person instead of a cartoon. He still maintains his very serious facial expression and seems calm and ready to go, focused on his enemy, who is offscreen. The artist has done a great job on all the details and shadows of the piece, making it more photorealistic.
4 Chibi Flashy Flash
When it comes to anime fan art, it’s impossible to avoid chibi versions of the characters, and really, who would want to? Artist onialgarra went above and beyond with this painted chibi version of Flashy Flash. He’s still posing with his sword, ready to wade into battle, and has an incredibly serious look on his face. It’s adorable but also perfectly in character for him, making it easy to take him seriously as a threat even when so cute.
3 Maid Costume
The maid cafe is a popular place to hang out in Japan, and it’s also a pretty popular trope in anime. A lot of fan artists love to draw their favorite characters in from various series in maid outfits, since it’s a great way to show off their personalities.
In this piece by DaNy-Violet, even the very vain and confident Flashy Flash feels a little bit embarrassed by the maid outfit and is blushing and folding his arms grumpily in response to having to wear it.
2 Lightspeed Flash
Flashy Flash is sometimes also called Lightspeed Flash, which is what artist Hikapi has titled their fan art piece of him here. The drawing itself is very amusing, because Flashy Flash is posed in a really strange way, like he’s on a catwalk or at a model shoot, which makes sense because he’s so good-looking. The art style also makes him look a little funny, like he’s a character from Hinamatsuri and not so heroic and dramatic as in One Punch Man.
1 Speedpaint
Artist daNy-Violet drew this piece of fan art in a speed painting session, which essentially means that they did it, as can be guessed from the name, incredibly quickly, usually with a set amount of time in which they have to get them done. Painting that way is really hard and really impressive, and these chibi versions of Flashy Flash are all the cuter with that knowledge in mind. The fact that they were able to do so many, and have them all look so cute, is awesome.
