WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for One-Punch Man, Chapter 96 from ONE and Yusuke Murata, available now in English from Viz Media.

One-Punch Man, Chapter 95 saw Child Emperor finally free Waganma -- the kidnapped son of one of the Hero Association's top sponsors -- from the Monster Association. Child Emperor also made short work of Phoenix Man and several other villains, silencing anyone who might doubt the S-Class hero's abilities. That issue ended with G5, a battle robot allied with the Monster Association, confronting the two children.

Thanks to Child Emperor's handy devices, the two are able to escape G5, leaving him to fight a combined version of the hero's Underdog Men named Underdog Cerberus. As they're fleeing, they encounter the body of Phoenix Man. At first, they pay it little mind, until Waganma notes Phoenix Man's resemblance to Donkan Bird, the mascot of a famous television show called "Animal Empire." On the show, Donkan Bird constantly dies, only to be resurrected each time. Just as Child Emperor realizes the implications of this association, Phoenix Man makes good on his name, returning as the much more powerful, Resurrected Phoenix Man.

Although his pre-death form was only Demon level, Resurrected Phoenix Man is threat level "Dragon," the second-highest level for a monster and the same as that of the Monster King Orochi and the Human Monster Garou. Child Emperor realizes Resurrected Phoenix Man is too much for him to handle with his current level of tech when the monster easily breaks through five layers of his shield, so he decides to call in his ultimate weapon: Brave Giant.

The immensely powerful mech forms around Child Emperor, who'd buried the pieces around the Monster Association's headquarters in anticipation of his need.

Brave Giant allows Child Emperor to stand toe-to-toe with Resurrected Phoenix Man. However, the monster guesses a problem that's then confirmed by the S-Class hero: The armor only lasts for a limited amount of time. As One-Punch Man, Chapter 96 ends, it's revealed he only has two minutes and 38 seconds in which to beat Resurrected Phoenix Man.

Although Brave Giant is certainly a force to be reckoned with, the limited amount of time in which Child Emperor can use the mech might end up proving to be his undoing. However, there are still a lot of heroes gunning for the Monster Association, so it's possible he might get some back-up to take down Resurrected Phoenix Man.

Viz Media will release One-Punch Man Chapter 97 in English on June 19.
