The following contains spoilers for One-Punch Man Chapter 166, "The Awakening of the Gods," by One, Yusuke Murata, John Werry and James Gaubatz, available in English via Viz Media.

With Saitama and Garo's battle continuously reaching higher levels of intensity, One-Punch Man cannot afford to insert its signature whacky sense of humor. The series has shifted to showcasing its action sequences, while also shining a well-deserved spotlight on both Saitama and Garo's character developments. But, as the fight reaches its conclusion in Chapter 166, Saitama rewards the readers with a few Saitama-style comedy.

After Saitama showed Garo what true strength was, the Hero Hunter was ready to give up attempting to defeat the overpowered hero. However, a God stepped in and granted the Hero Hunter divine power, allowing him to deploy nuclear attacks as well as elevating his copying ability to the extreme. Garo's desire to overcome Saitama returned, and in his bid to do so, he murdered Genos in front of the Bald Cape.

Saitama's Sneeze in One-Punch Man

Garo giving Saitama Genos' core incited the hero's fury. For the first time in the series, the bald hero unleashed his full potential. He not only used one or two Killer Moves, but unleashed a barrage of Garo. Since the damage their fight was causing endangered Earth, Blast and his gang were forced to blast the two into one of Jupiter's moon. Their fight continued to rage on in Chapter 166. Although Garo was still copying Saitama's moves, Saitama was continuously getting ahead of the Hero Hunter.

The two's fight was slowly turning into a one-sided beat down, with Garo taking Saitama's flurry of punches. Even the techniques Garo stole from Blast were being used against him. As the fight continued, the gap between their power levels also continued to increase, and Saitama started losing interest. Saitama returned to his nonchalant self, realizing that his clothes were missing, and focused on that fact over fighting Garo. When the urge arose, he even let out a Serious Sneeze -- a sneeze strong enough to blow half of Jupiter's gases.

Saitama's fart in One-Punch Man

Garo's desire eventually changed from wanting to fight Saitama to escaping the hero. He opened a portal to Earth, leading to the chapter's second gag. Just as Garo thought he had escaped from the Bald Cape, Saitama appeared behind him. Saitama then explained that his stomach got all cold from his lack of clothes, and when Garo launched a nuclear attack, released a huge fart. His fart acted as propulsion, allowing him to instantaneously catch up with the Hero Hunter. The final gag in the chapter came after Saitama destroyed causality. He punched past Garo, then returned to his past body. By doing so, he returned with Garo's core still in hand and an exposed crotch.

Even though Garo and Saitama's battle continues to rage on in Chapter 166, the fight's momentum has finally started to dissipate, enough for One-Punch Man to insert a few of its signature gags and reigniting the seies's sense of humor. Readers are graced with the knowledge of how dangerous Saitama's Serious Sneeze can be, and that there is always a possibility of a future One-Punch Man villain meeting their end from Saitama's sneeze or fart.
