The manga/anime franchise One-Punch Man had humble beginnings compared to other classic Shonen titles, first appearing as a web comic. Soon, this satire action series grew so popular, it hit the bookshelves, and the anime already has two seasons. There's plenty of merchandise, too.

Fans love to make art of their favorite anime and manga heroes and scenes, from hand-drawn sketches to digital art that they can share at DeviantArt and similar websites. Saitama and Genos are some of the most popular topics in One-Punch Man art, and some of these pieces show some serious talent. Let's visit a gallery of ten of the finest One-Punch Man fan pieces.

10 Vs Marvel and DC

Western comic fans sometimes compare the comic rivals Marvel and DC, and debate: are the Avengers, or the Justice League, the coolest superhero team out there? This highly detailed fan piece from Woo Chul Lee suggests that both of them get their butt kicked when Saitama arrives!

Our Caped Baldy has already taken down Captain America, and Superman is about to join him. It looks like Batman and Iron Man are trying to turn the tide, but good luck with that, fellas!

9 A Quiet Moment

In this art piece from Ariame Mascimemto, the cyborg Genos is taking some time to himself, and he's got on his usual pants and white hoodie. The lighting in this illustration is rather somber and moody, and looks like an urban setting at night, in a way.

Just what is emitting that eerie red light? And it also looks like Genos has a lot on his mind. Maybe he failed to capture a villain, or he got a new lead on his revenge scheme but feels conflicted about it.

8 Colorful punch

For the most part, the One Punch Man anime makes light use of the colorful and glow-y effects that Shonen anime often uses. We see punches, kicks, and blades in the action scenes, but not a lot in the way of colorful effects.

This fan art byRakisan-Art gives the anime a more grounded look, but this artist had some fun and imagined Saitama with a psychadelic-colored punch, ready to throw! His posture and expression show that he really means business. Did a God-level threat just appear?

7 Make some noise!

The funny thing is, we really can imagine Saitama and Genos launching their own punk rock band! These two guys often have a lot of spare time on their hands, since they can defeat most of the villains with ease. And sometimes you get slow days where all is well in town.

So, put on some leather, tune up your guitar, and moonlight as the new rock and roll sensation! Both Saitama and Genos are wonderfully detailed in this piece by Goditsuka, and the blurry effects give a sense of motion that totally fits the tone.

6 Rematch: Saitama v Superman

It's time for a superpowered rematch! In the first illustration in this list, Saitama was shown standing victorious over both Superman and Captain America. But this time, it's drawn as more of a fair fight, and the battle of Saitama vs Superman couldn't look any better than this. This awesome fan art is by WIZYAKUZA.

Both men are clearly giving it their all, and the sense of sheer action and power is palpable in every fine detail of this piece. It's clear that only one hero will be left standing when punches of that caliber are exchanged!

5 The beast

Let's take a short break from Saitama and Genos and try out some art for a major villain: Carnage Kabuto! Created as the pinnacle of the House of Evolution, this massive creature is oddly nimble and smart, and it's the pride and joy of Dr. Genus' work. This fan art is by Tactics Ogre.

Now, we get a richly painted view of Carnage Kabuto in his initial form, before he went on his rampage. Not only are the details and colors incredible in this illustration, but Kabuto's expression is one of curiosity, rather than simple rage or bloodlust. It helps show that even this brutish, short-lived character had another side to him. Well done.

4 Speed-O-Sound Sonic

And now, Speed-O-Sound Sonic appears! We get a manga-style illustration by Ichigo Kurosaki of this silly ninja from an impressive angle, where Sonic is leaping right at the viewer. It gives the impression of speed and stealth, like he suddenly sprang at the viewer. And it looks like he's having a good time, too.

Meanwhile, Sonic has a little chibi keychain of Saitama, and a pretty annoyed mini-Genos is hanging onto Sonic's scarf. It's fitting how Saitama isn't even paying attention, while Genos is determined to take out this bad guy and impress his teacher.

3 Not Done Yet

Genos is one tough guy. He takes a real beating more than once in One Punch Man's first season alone, and he's been reduced nearly to scrap more than once. But he doesn't despair. Sometimes, Genos just berates himself for taking his opponent too lightly, and after a pit stop, he's ready for more.

With blunt paint strokes and washed-out colors in this fan art by theDURRRRIAN, we get the impression that Genos has been worn down and pushed to the brink of defeat, especially with an arm loose. But he's showing some real grit, like a proper hero!

2 The hero gang

Courtesy of einiv, this looks like a movie poster, doesn't it? Who doesn't love an ensemble of the heroes making cool poses? We get just that in this illustration, and Saitama poses near the bottom, showing how he started off low-ranked but can support all the other heroes.

Included are Blizzard, Genos, Silver Fang, and even Mumen Rider! The illustration splashes in Sonic to include a token villain, and it looks like he can't wait to fight everyone here.

1 Dressed to the Nines

Some fan art pieces like to dress up the characters in street clothes, formal wear, or even in the clothes of characters from other series. This fan art by Simon Love has Saitama, King, Sonic, and Genos in suits, and if you ask us, Saitama is like a mellower Agent 47. It looks like these four gentlemen are in the middle of a war zone, but being tough, they don't mind. They've even got some red wine to kick back with and have a good time. Here's to us!
