With every funny man, you need a straight man, and that's what Genos is in One Punch Man. He's the overly serious character who's all about getting stronger and stronger, a typical cliche you see in shounen series. Pairing him with Saitama provides a lot of the comedy the show has to, two being perfect complements for one another.

His look goes well with that serious demeanor, looking more what you'd expect of a badass hero than what Saitama is. Genos has one of, if not the best look of any character in the whole series, from the cyborg enhancements to the striking black and yellow eyes. They help make him a cosplay favorite.

10 Incineration Cannon

There are a lot of tools in Genos arsenal, but the incineration cannons are his bread and butter, his go-to form of attack, just like Saitama's is a punch. Having them come strictly from his palm gives a very Iron Man feel, which fits considering he is a literal metal man. Eric does a great job replicating them with a light, making it seem like he's about to light you up like a Christmas tree. The little bit of glare the light gives the camera helps enhance that too.

9 Picturesque

The setting and the way the cosplay is done makes the photograph come off almost like a painting or a drawing from the manga itself. The work Fukari did on the metallic arms is phenomenal, seamlessly blending them with their normal body, making it look less like cosplay and more like reality. The rusted metal in the background gives you the vibe that Genos is about to take on a heinous villain, as well as provide a visual comparison to his arms, showing just how amazing they are.

8 Powering Up

Palm blasts are the only ways Genos uses his incineration cannons, Yourfinalboss deciding to show him powering up to unleash the full length of his powers.

While it's photo manipulation, his arms opening up like that with the bright glow of yellow gleaming out is such a striking image. That stern and overly serious look on his face is perfect for Genos as well. He'd be the worst fit in the MCU for that reason, jokes going over his head like Drax.

7 Chores

Genos is the dedicated sort, even something as mundane as chores would be tackled with the utmost seriousness, never taking a shortcut around a clean home. It's a humorful spot to put the character by Headless_Cosplay and one that achieves what it was going for. Having the television broadcasting some news report on a monster attack in the backdrop helps show how dedicated he is to his craft, even in his downtime. The material used on his arms gives it an almost medieval vibe, looking like plate armor.

6 Hand Cannons

Funny isn't the only thing Headless_Cosplay can pull off, taking a more prototypical approach here, making Genos look like the badass that he is. The angle makes the arms look huge, particularly up near his shoulders. The soft glow of the light in his palm works well, not too bright that it'd give the lens glare, but enough to know it was there. The blackness of his eyes is well done, inkiness of it making it seem like it was eating away at all of the color in his eyes.

5 Rebel

The leather jacket is a good look for someone like Genos, giving him that little bit of edge. Mad_Does Cosplay makes him look like that Fonzy style character who always thought he was the coolest guy in the room.

Their hair is even a little messier, playing into that archetype even more. Their choice of contacts was good, even if they have a little more of a green tint to them. It's a shame they weren't able to get started on the arms just yet, but they have the foundation for a good cosplay already.

4 Side By Side

These side by sides really help show you how much effort and thought goes into trying to make the cosplay look as close to the original as they could. Outside of the one-shoulder pad, almost everything is spot on. The glow from their incineration cannon is spot on, as is their choice of contacts. The bright yellow shining through the murky black works perfectly. They even managed to have that same flat expression, even if there's is curled a little more into a smile.

3 Ready For Action

Alvicosplay looks ready to throw down with someone, stance looking like someone who's going to dash forward at the speed of light, striking you with a punch before you even know what hit you. It's not just that either, his arms look like something Jax from Mortal Kombat would wear. The lines of orange lights on the inside make them feel even more cybernetic than the black plating does. His gaze is deathly serious as well, always apt for a Genos cosplay. There isn't going to be any messing around once this fight starts.

2 The Weapon

With how often he upgrades himself, Genos really is a living weapon, one that's constantly improving. Trendysenpaii nails the level of intimidation you'd have if you were ever to come face to face with someone like Genos in real life. It's more than just the cybernetic arms, it's how he carries himself, that level of confidence he has. He has a presence to him that would make you second guess talking back to him. The only drawback is he doesn't have the contacts to complete the outfit, needing those place eyes.

1 Time To Clean

You can't trust Saitama to handle the cleaning so it's always on Genos to make sure the house doesn't become an absolute pigstye. It's one of the humorous aspects of the character and one that fits in the current reality we live in immensely well. Leave it to the cyborg to make sure they steer clear of any virus. While the cleaning supplies are funny, the best part of Madcap's cosplay is her eyes. They look both on point for the character as well as a little spooky with how strikingly black they are.
