Zoro Tells Luffy To Take Thins Seriously

Although Luffy captains the Straw Hat Pirates, there are several members of the group who have displayed the ability to lead on various occasions, such as Zoro, Jinbe, Sanji, and Nami. Being Luffy's right-hand man, Zoro usually assumes the role of second-in-command and takes control of the crew, displaying great leadership skills in the process. On certain occasions, Zoro has been mistaken for the captain of the crew because of the aura he gives off.

When it comes to combat, Zoro doesn't always need a sword to take down his enemies. After the two-year timeskip, Zoro's skill has become refined enough to the point where he can use a small blade to devastating effect. This was first seen in Wano, where Zoro was wrongfully convicted of murder, and to get out of the situation, he made use of a seppuku blade. His usage of the small blade was so incredibly refined that he managed to slice through an entire building with ease.

8 Zoro Can Attack Using Mutoryu

Zoro tends not to rely on martial arts while fighting his opponents even when he isn't equipped with his swords. This was first seen during the Long Rind Long Land arc where Zoro was forced to come up with a way of fighting without swords. Eventually, he developed the Mutoryu, or the No Sword Style. Using this power, Zoro is able to generate sword techniques, such as Tatsu Maki, even without swords in hand.

On top of his endurance, Zoro also has tremendous physical strength which comes from the intense training that he's undergone over the years. After the timeskip, Zoro has only gotten stronger as he constantly trains to improve.

5 Zoro Can Use His Aura To Intimidate People

Zoro One Piece

Zoro has been likened to a demon by several people in the story. In the very first saga of One Piece, Zoro was called a demon by Koby, and moving forward, this comparison was further strengthened by the likes of the Marines at Enies Lobby and Kaku of the CP-9. At times, Zoro's aura alone is strong enough to make people lose their footing, as seen when Monet couldn't move upon sensing the killer intent that Zoro's aura channeled and lost without Zoro doing anything.

His skill with this Haki is good enough to measure the power level of those around him, and he displayed this power on a couple of occasions since Fishman Island.

Zoro can also use his Observation Haki to see through most attacks that come his way. At Fishman Island, he blocked the water bullets of the Fishmen with the hilt of his sword thanks to this power. Zoro could also easily dodge and counter the attacks of someone as strong as Killer without much trouble. His skill with this power was also good enough to block Batman's arrow aimed at Tsuru.

2 Zoro Can Use Armament Haki To Defend Himself

Thanks to Mihawk's intense training, Roronoa Zoro specializes in Armament Haki. He displayed this power against Pica of the Donquixote Pirates and managed to take him down without much trouble. Although Zoro usually defends with his swords, he can also defend himself by coating his body in Haki, just like any other user of this power. Given that his usage of Haki is great, Zoro's should be extremely tough to get through.

1 Zoro Can Utilize The Power Of Conqueror's Haki

Zoro was confirmed to be a user of Conqueror's Haki during his fight against the Yonko on the rooftop of Onigashima. Using Nine Sword Style as his last resort, Zoro somehow managed to tap into the power of Conqueror's Haki and use it in conjunction with Armament Haki to injure the Yonko. Although Zoro cannot channel this power without swords, he can certainly knock people out with it once he masters it well enough.
