The Wano Country arc is one that every fan of One Piece has been waiting for years. Even the creator of the series, Eiichiro Oda, was itching to draw this arc, and according to him, what the fans will get to witness here will dwarf Marineford in comparison.

With the third Act of the arc having begun, we've quite possibly reached the half-way point of the arc and although the main battle of the arc is yet to be seen, we've already seen some mind-blowing stuff so far. Here are the 10 best moments in One Piece's Wano Country arc so far.

10 Zoro and Sanji Reunion

After having stayed apart for over three years of One Piece, Zoro and Sanji finally reunited in the second act of Wano Country and Oda sure did make it flashy. The event followed the death of Yasuie, who sacrificed himself to save the plan of the Samurai of Wano, those who were imprisoned, and with the Witching Hour Boy.

With Toko rushing to save her father with Toad Oil, Orochi orders her death which is when Zoro and Sanji step in to defend her. The two have their normal banter afterward and that's what fans had been missing since Dressrosa.

9 The Akazaya Nine - Oden's Samurai

Shortly into Act 3, we see the preparations being made for the massive war that's coming up at Onigashima. The Promised Port is decided to be port Tokage in Udon, from where the alliance was to sail to Onigashima.

However, when the heavens turn on them and Orochi somehow finds out about their plan, the Akazaya Nine seem defeated. Despite that, they claim they're loyal to Oden and follow with the plan despite not having any numbers to defeat Kaido. This moment was quite easily one of the most touching ones in Wano yet, especially after going through the Oden flashback.

8 Big Mom Vs. Kaido

One Piece manga Kaido vs Big Mom

With Big Mom arriving in Wano Country in Act 2 of One Piece, we eventually get to see her come face to face with Kaido after being imprisoned by Queen. After being freed by Kaido, the two clash and split the heavens, just like when Shanks met Whitebeard.

Shockingly, the two didn't stay at each other's throats forever and after 12 hours of fighting, they decide to form an alliance and revive Rocks. Thus, the mightiest pirate crew in the world is born.

7 Luffy Wins Over Udon

Monkey D. Luffy's time in Udon Prison proved to be quite eventful for the watchers and the alliance alike. Not only did it lead to Kawamatsu, one of the Akazaya Nine, being freed, but it also helped in freeing the Yakuza of Wano Country.

The most important part of it all was when Luffy gave a speech and proved to everyone that he would, indeed, defeat Kaido and free Wano Country. While the wills of the Samurai imprisoned were broken initially, Luffy's speech revitalized their faith and they joined the cause as well.

6 Kaido Is A Dragon

Kaido uses his Devil Fruit, Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon, in One Piece's Wano Country arc.

Kaido's powers were talked about quite a lot in the One Piece fandom, with most predicting that he was either a Dragon or some kind of an Oni fruit user. Towards the end of One Piece Act 1, Kaido emerged in his dragon form at Kuri and for the first time in a while, we got a proper look at the beast that he is.

Interestingly, his color scheme was revealed to be blue, instead of the normal red that everyone believed he would have. Kaido's powers were also revealed to us shortly afterward, but his appearance alone was enough to send the fandom into a frenzy.

5 Oden Vs. Kaido

Oden battles Kaido in the manga

Dropping just days ago, Oden's glorious fight against Kaido was shown by Eiichiro Oda in One Piece Chapter 970, where the two clashed in Udon. Surprisingly, Oden proved to be stronger than Kaido and was able to inflict a massive wound on Kaido with Enma and Ame no Habakiri.

Furthermore, Oden would've gone on to kill Kaido shortly after that, however, Kurozumi Higurashi's evil plot distracted Oden, which allowed Kaido to land a hit on him from behind, knocking him out in the process.

4 The Hour Of The Legends

After Oden's return to Wano following his journey with Whitebeard and Roger, he was berated by his people for not fighting Orochi and Kaido and instead dancing naked in the Flower Capital. This was done so matters could be resolved peacefully without any bloodshed.

However, upon Hyougoro's capture and the death of his men, Oden gathered the Akazaya Nine, who then planned on to march on Onigashima to kill Kaido. Eiichiro Oda referred to this as 'The Hour of the Legends', and some of it might still be unseen. Nonetheless, the gathering of the Akazaya Nine and the walk was quite epic indeed.

3 Luffy Vs. Kaido

The climax of the first Act of Wano was marked with the iconic fight of Monkey D. Luffy, and the Governor-General of the Animal Kingdom Pirates, Kaido. With Kaido attacking Luffy's crew and injuring Tama, Luffy could barely control himself and unleashed all his anger on Kaido.

To the surprise of the watchers, none of it seemed to affect Kaido even in the slightest, who then went on to launch one of his own attacks, known as Thunder Bagua, on Luffy, knocking him out completely. Although short, this fight was truly a pleasure to witness.

2 Gol D. Roger Vs. Whitebeard

During Oden's flashback, the fans were treated to Gol D. Roger's fight against Whitebeard, something that was first mentioned years ago in One Piece. Before the time-skip, Oda told the fans that Whitebeard was the only known man to match Roger in a fight and he wasn't wrong.

One Piece Chapter 966 gave us the moment when the Whitebeard Pirates clashed against the Roger Pirates on an island in the Grand Line. The battle lasted for four days and while most of it wasn't shown in the manga, it was truly a breathtaking sight to witness.

1 Laugh Tale

Finally, the greatest ever chapter of One Piece is a part of Wano Country arc as well and this one focused on the adventure of Gol D. Roger to the final island and finding the treasure of the Ancient Kingdom. With Bink's Sake playing on the ship to showcase Roger's adventure, one can help but tear up.

The journey ends with Roger on the island, hearing Joy Boy's message and calling it a funny tale while laughing with tears in his eyes. Consequently, Roger becomes the person to name the final island as Laugh Tale, and the treasure that Joy Boy left behind came to be known as the One Piece.
