Vivi is the princess of the Alabasta Kingdom and the daughter of Nefertari Cobra and Titi. She's one of the former members of the Straw Hat Pirate crew as she sailed with the crew from Whiskey Peak right to Alabasta where Luffy ended the tyranny of the then Shichibukai Crocodile and liberated the Kingdom in the process.

Vivi chose to stay in her country and left the crew once her journey concluded at Alabasta. It goes without saying that she's one of the most important characters in the entire series, therefore, she's loved among the fans as well. Here are 10 weird facts that you didn't know about the Vivi.

10 Antagonist

Despite being a member of the Straw Hat crew, Vivi actually made her debut in the series as an antagonist, taking the alias of Miss Wednesday. She made her first appearance at Whiskey Peak as a member of the Baroque Works. It was later revealed that she infiltrated the organization to gather intel on its leader, Mr. 0.

Her introduction as an antagonist before joining the crew is somewhat similar to Nami, where she posed as a member of the crew prior to Arlong Park because of the circumstances in front of her.

9 A Straw Hat Fan

Much like the other princesses in One Piece, such as Shirahoshi, Mansherry, Rebecca, Vivi is a fan of the Straw Hat Pirates. Interestingly, she's the only known princess to sail with the crew, setting her apart from the rest.

Although Vivi chose not to continue traveling with the crew towards the end of the Alabasta arc, she still keeps track of all their actions through the New World. Furthermore, it feels like Vivi has the innate ability to sense when a Straw Hat Fan like her is in her vicinity, as seen in the Reverie arc of One Piece.

Since she's a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, Vivi not traveling with the crew means that she's officially the least-featured Straw Hat in the entire series. After the Alabasta arc, Vivi barely made an appearance in the series bar a few cover pages by Oda.

After the time-skip, Vivi first appeared on the cover page of One Piece Chapter 640. She was seen briefly after the fall of Donquixote Doflamingo, reading about Luffy's victory in the newspaper. In the Reverie arc, Vivi got a lot of screentime once again, and deservedly so.

7 A True Leader

Those with authority often tend to be rotten to the core in the world of One Piece, a prime example of that being the World Nobles. Surprisingly, Vivi is a remarkably kind princess which is one of the reasons why she was chosen by Oda to be a Straw Hat.

Often, she's seen prioritizing the needs of the citizens over her own. During the Alabasta arc, Vivi was ready to sacrifice her life for the country. Even though she sailed with the Straw Hat crew for a very short period of time, Vivi cared deeply about each member of the crew, showing her compassionate side once again.

6 Can't Insult Anyone

Vivi Straw Hat Pirates

In Vivi, Oda created a character who is way too nice regardless of who she's interacting with. Vivi often has a very hard time when it comes to thinking of insults for others, but knowing her character, she barely ever feels the need to do it. More often than not, Vivi simply chooses not to hurt the feelings of others.

When confronted by a rude person, she's smart enough to take the high road and avoid a confrontation as seen when she was slapped by Wapol as a kid on a Reverie meet.

5 Vivi's Habits

Vivi was a part of the Straw Hat Pirate crew for quite a long time, enough for her character to fully be explored. Among many other interesting things about her, Vivi's habits are actually very funny. She is seen giving people strange, yet cute nicknames. For example, Vivi refers to Roronoa Zoro by the name of 'Mr. Bushido'.

Her other habit is biting her lip when she's tensed. This has been illustrated by Eiichiro Oda time and again through the Alabasta Saga where Vivi was stressed due to Crocodile's ever-growing monopoly over the country.

4 Master At Deception

Nefertari Vivi during One Piece's Reverie arc

Nefertari Vivi is skilled at many things and one of her best abilities is deception. Despite being the daughter of the King of Alabasta, Vivi was successfully able to infiltrate the Baroque Works and pose as Miss Wednesday. Remarkably, she pulled off the job so well that not even an eye was batted towards her during the years she spent there.

In the process, Vivi managed to successfully collect information on the organization and played a significant role in toppling the monopoly of Crocodile on the country with the help of the Straw Hat Pirates.

3 Bad At Warning Others

Vivi is one of the smartest known people in the Alabasta. Being a responsible princess, she knows the country better than anyone else and therefore knows what dangers lurk there. Despite this, Vivi fails to warn people of the trouble almost every time.

This was seen throughout the Alabasta Saga where Vivi forgot about the Sandora Dragons, or the Giant Lizards so often that it became a running gag right until the end of the arc.

2 Loves Adventure

Although Vivi is a princess who is constantly in her Palace surrounded by guards, she relishes adventures. During the Reverie arc, Vivi was seen appreciating the chance of traveling on the seas once again. This is likely because she is reminded of the time that she spent with the Straw Hat Pirates long ago.

While Vivi wasn't on a pirate ship and was surrounded by the Marines on all sides, she couldn't care less about what was happening around her. All the wanted to feel the breeze of the salty ocean.

1 Her Surname

Vivi One Piece

Undeniably, Eiichiro Oda has drawn one of the most beautiful characters in Nefertari Vivi. Interestingly enough, Vivi's surname 'Nerfertari' is an ancient Egyptian that means 'the most beautiful'.

Often, this word was used to describe the princesses and their inexplicable beauty in ancient times in Egypt. Surprisingly, Eiichiro Oda didn't know what the name meant when he picked it for her. Needless to say, he hit the bullseye with this one.
