The Whitebeard Pirates were once known as the most fearsome pirate crew on the seas. At that point in time, the crew was headed by " The World's Strongest Man", Edward Newgate. In his time as captain, Whitebeard led with class and distinction. This led to him gaining the respect of some of the world's strongest pirates, who were all willing to throw their lives away at any point, as long as it was in the name of Whitebeard.
This attitude aided the growth of the younger crew members, who often grew to become famous pirates. As a young man, Whitebeard set out to find a family on the seas and he achieved this goal. These are his 1o strongest sons.
10 IZO
Izo is a former Samurai of the Land of Wano and is largely believed to be a former member of Lord Oden Kozuki's Nine Red Scabbards.
Izo grew up in Wano before making a name for himself and leaving to join the Yonko's crew. He is the 16th division commander of the Whitebeard crew and, in his time as a member, he's pledged steadfast loyalty to Whitebeard and is loved by many of his subordinates due to his caring nature.
9 INURASHI
Duke Inurashi is a former member of the Whitebeard crew, having joined them during the time when his lord, Oden Kozuki, was one of Whitebeard's commanders.
Inurashi was also temporarily a member of the late Pirate King, Gol D Roger's crew. This provided him with incredible experience, having learned from some of the world's strongest and most powerful men (Roger, Rayleigh, Whitebeard, Oden etc).
Inurashi has been shown to be strong enough to go head to head with a Yonko commander, meaning, he's more than strong enough to can handle himself in most fights.
8 NEKOMAMUSHI
Cat Viper, or Nekomamushi, is a gigantic cat that once served on Whitebeard's ship, having been a retainer to the infamous Oden Kozuki. Nekomamushi washed upon the shores of Wano as a young Mink and did not know much about his strange and mysterious new world.
Fortunately, he met the capricious, young Oden Kozuki who provided for him until he could fend for himself. Nekomamushi would later swear loyalty to Oden, becoming one of his Nine Scabbards. Nekomamushi is very physically imposing and strikes with deceptive power. His catlike reflexes make him hard to hit, making him a troublesome opponent for many One Piece characters.
7 VISTA
"Flower Sword" Vista is the current 5th division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates and considered to be one of the best swordsmen in the One Piece world. His skill is noted by Dracule Mihawk, the current strongest swordsman in the world.
Vista has long followed Whitebeard, having being captivated by his charm in his younger days. During the Marineford war, Vista exchanged blows with Mihawk and was able to hold his ground for some amount of time, which is a great feat considering Mihawk's strength.
6 JOZU
"Diamond" Jozu became one of the most physically formidable One Piece characters, after consuming the Diamond - Diamond fruit. This gave him the ability to turn into diamond, making one of the hardest substances in the One Piece world.
His Diamond Fortitude isn't mere talk either, having been strong enough to aid Jozu in deflecting Mihawk's World Strongest Slash. Jozu focuses on melee type attacks, where he combines the hardness of his diamond body with Armament Haki to pound away at his opponents. These skills propelled Juzo to the position of third division commander where he served Whitebeard loyally, before the latter's death.
5 PORTGAS D ACE
Portgas D Ace is the child of the former Pirate King, Gol D Roger, and his lover, Portgas D Rouge. Ace was born on Baterilla but, due to his heritage, he was removed from that island and raised on a small island in the East Blue, Dawn Island.
Here, Ace grew up with his sworn brothers, Luffy and Sabo, before leaving out to sea to make a name for himself. This led him to go after Whitebeard's head but, after growing to care for the great pirate, Ace would become one of Whitebeard's most loyal 'sons'. Ace consumed the Flame - Flame fruit and with it, he became known as one of the world's most notorious pirates.
4 MARCO THE PHOENIX
Marco can be considered the first son of Whitebeard and is the former first division commander of the Whitebeard crew. Marco is currently operating as a doctor to Whitebeard's hometown, after having served as a de facto leader following Whitebeard's death.
After initially becoming leader, Marco tried to get revenge on Teach but failed due to the Blackbeard crew's strength. This loss greatly affected Marco and he and most of the Whitebeard pirates have been quiet ever since.
His phoenix devil fruit is one of the most coveted in the series, due to it's extraordinary healing properties. Marco is both a skilled fighter and an experienced commander, and after having learned from Whitebeard for so many years, he is a guaranteed top tier combatant.
3 BLACKBEARD
This is somewhat of a controversial choice, given the antagonism Blackbeard has caused his former crew since they've departed.
Blackbeard is directly involved in the death of both Whitebeard and former fourth division commander Thatch, whilst also playing a major role in Portgas D Ace's death.
Blackbeard later used his intimate knowledge of his former crew's territory to make himself powerful and, over the last two years, he's become a world-renowned pirate. Blackbeard is power-hungry and, as such, he has gathered a crew of powerful devil fruit users, which he intends to use to conquer the world, much like his spiritual forefather, Rocks D Xebec.
2 KOZUKI ODEN
Oden was a legendary Samurai from Wano country, having been a member of the illustrious Kozuki Clan. Oden was Daimyo of the Kuri district of Wano, where he gathered a ragtag group of followers and turned them into his loyal retainers.
After feeling cramped in Wano, Oden escaped his homeland and managed to become a division commander on Whitebeard's ship. Oden was renounced for his charisma and even the most legendary figures would often become captivated by him (figures such as Whitebeard, Roger, Rayleigh and Shanks). Oden was known to be remarkably strong and, to this day, he's the only man who's been known to wound the King of Beasts, Kaido.
1 WHITEBEARD
Whitebeard is the second greatest pirate in history, having been eclipsed in achievements and bounty only by the Pirate King, Gol D Roger and his crew.
For many decades, he ruled over his territories and nobody dared harm a member of his crew. Whitebeard was always powerful and, after consuming the Quake-Quake fruit, he gained the power to destroy the world.
Though he never willed it, Whitebeard could have sent the world into chaos anytime he wished but, instead, he chose to dedicate his life to being a good father to his men. This led to him living one of the most honorable and distinguished lives in anime history.
