The Straw Hat pirates are the main protagonists of the One Piece universe. Over the years, they have fought both enemy pirates and marines, sometimes narrowly overcoming them. On other occasions, they have even lost.

Whether or not they were successful has often depended on their endurance. Sometimes, the heroes are forced to go for hours or even days without a moment's rest. Only the staunchest of anime heroes manage to make it through, and the Straw Hats have plenty of strong members.

10 Nami Often Relies On Allies To Carry Her

Sanji Helping Nmai At His Wedding

As a regular person without any powers, it's unsurprising that Nami's endurance is the lowest of the crew. She will often expect her comrades to carry her toward destinations even outside of battle.

Sanji is the easiest to manipulate in this regard, though she was also seen riding Jimbei in Whole Cake Island. When a person isn't available, Nami will find another means of transportation, such as when she used a vehicle to navigate Skypiea and escape Eneru.

9 Chopper's Rumble Balls Have Extremely Grave Limitations

Chopper may not be as hopeless as Nami in battle, but his stamina is almost as low as hers. While his rumble balls give him an incredible boost of strength, he can only sustain a potent form for roughly three minutes.

Although the doctor has been seen maintaining Kung Fu point for much longer, it isn't deadly enough to significantly deter his adversaries. The fight against CP9's Kumadori revealed that if Chopper attempts to transform while exhausted, he cannot control what he becomes. Predictably, this can have disastrous consequences for his odds of success.

8 Robin's Devil Fruit Drains Her Immensely

Nico Robin's devil fruit may be powerful at subduing adversaries quickly, but it has an enormous stamina cost. During Thriller Bark, she could only fly Franky a few meters before needing to catch her breath.

She hasn't proven much more resilient after the time skip. While able to create massive limb bridges for the people of Dressrosa to utilize, Diamante's falling shrapnel pushed her to the limit in a matter of seconds. The only opponent Robin proved her endurance against was High Priest Yama of Skypiea, whose corpulent form slowed him down.

7 Brook Is A Decent Swordsman But Lacks Skill In Prolonged Fights

Brook's Soul Returning To His Body

Brook is a decent swordsman, although most of his fights have been concluded relatively quickly. He defeated Zeo in a matter of moments by taking advantage of his detachable body, and he lost to Ryuma just as quickly.

The musician's ability to survive against Big Mom was also less impressive when considering that she wasn't actively trying to kill him. Nonetheless, having the speed to avoid her attacks and the stamina to survive Prometheus are both considerations that portray Brook in a positive light. Unfortunately, he still isn't as tireless as his skeletal body would suggest.

6 Franky Is Limited By How Much Cola He Has

As a cyborg, Franky is limited by both human limitations and the cola powering his body. When depleted of cola, he is virtually powerless against opponents and cannot activate iconic abilities such as "Strong Right" or "Weapons Left." The fickleness of his power supply is particularly problematic.

Although alternative energy sources like tea or alcohol are viable for keeping him awake, they dramatically shift his personality and take him out of the encounter. Still, Franky had enough endurance to mow down scores of Fish-Men and survive a combined attack of marines and pirates at Dressrosa single-handedly.

5 Usopp's Endurance Is Fueled By Adrenaline

Usopp as Sniper King, One Piece

For an ordinary person, Usopp has superhuman levels of endurance. This was first seen in the Arlong Park arc, where he outran Chew and lured him to the corner of the island. Part of his stamina might be due to his cowardice.

It was again seen during Water Seven, where he repeatedly stood back up after losing fights with the Franky Family. Despite being beaten to a pulp twice, he still had the energy to challenge Luffy and even perform moderately well against him. Much of Usopp's stamina is fueled by an insatiable will to survive.

4 Jimbei Proved Himself In The Marineford War

Jimbei from One Piece Punching

Jimbei may not have as many opportunities to prove himself but he's made the most of the time given. He was an active proponent in the Marineford war immediately after escaping Impel Down, having mustered enough strength to defeat Gecko Moria in one hit.

Additionally, the former Warlord has demonstrated a profound ability to recover. Despite suffering worse injuries from Akainu's attack than Luffy, he mended his wounds nicely on Amazon Lily and even had enough vigor to fight again. Furthermore, he seldom tired when carrying Nami on his back and running from Big Mom.

3 Zoro Doesn't Struggle To Fight Through Injuries

Zoro is arguably the most capable Straw Hat to fight through injuries. This was first seen in the East Blue saga, where he stood up to Arlong despite having been mortally wounded by Mihawk.

Perhaps more impressively, he remained standing after willingly taking Luffy's pain in the Thriller Bark arc. Additionally, he carved through a mountain-sized Pica until finding his real body and dicing it to shreds. Zoro's discipline is becoming of a man who aspires to be the world's greatest swordsman.

2 Sanji Can Run So Fast That He's Discovered Flight

Sanji On Whole Cake Island

During the time skip, Sanji was forced to run from the denizens of Kamabakka Kingdom for two consecutive years. This suggests superb endurance, especially after he developed the power of flight.

His stamina is similarly proven through his ability to hold his breath. During the fight against Kuroobi, he held his own for several minutes in a fast-paced underwater dogfight before coming up to get air.

1 Luffy Is Unstoppable When Determined To Reach His Goals

Luffy's stamina borders on the impossible. He was resilient enough to recover from two brutal losses against Crocodile and defeat him within the same week. Like Jimbei, he was also a major component of the Marineford war even though he was still recovering from Magellan's venom.

Perhaps Luffy's most important feats were seen in the Whole Cake Island arc. He escaped an endless forest, defeated a Sweet General, overwhelmed an entire army, and took a beating from Sanji, all without getting a moment's rest or bite to eat. His determination renders him a worthy Pirate King.
