The geographical structure of the world of One Piece is bizarre, to say the least. If you thought 70+% water was too much for Earth to handle, then wait until you meet the interesting world of One Piece. Rather than continents and whatnot, the world One Piece is separated into four chunks of seas where water runs amok. It really is a perfect world for a series premised upon pirates to be situated in.

East Blue, One of the aforementioned four seas, is located on the eastern side of the world and is known as the weakest sea. However, contrary to the sea’s foreign reputation, quite a few heavy-hitters originate from this "weak" sea. A couple of them even rocked— and still continue to rock— the world with their undistinguishable might.

10 Belo Betty Leads The Revolutionary Army's Eastern Division

Belo Betty, the commander of the Revolutionary Army's East Army, in One Piece

Belo Betty is a Revolutionary Army Commander who was confirmed to be from the East Blue. As she only has a few panels worth of screentime, there really isn’t much known about her besides the basics.

That being said, her strength is most certainly the real deal. To hold command over the Revolutionary Army’s eastern division is a huge responsibility accompanied by many harsh requirements. Above-average strength is among the most vital of said requirements.

9 Van Augur Is The Commander Of The Blackbeard Pirates

Van Augur- One Piece

Van Augur is a character who managed to remain elusive even though he was introduced as early as Jaya Arc. Dozens of arcs later and he is still the elusive sniper that he was. What has changed, though, is the fact that he is now a commander to a notorious yonko crew.

Where he stands in the series’ strength hierarchy is something unknown to the fans. However, as a yonko commander, he can’t possibly be a weakling. Especially in a strength-oriented crew like the Blackbeard Pirates.

8 Yasopp Is A Yonko Commander And Skilled Sniper

Yasopp- One Piece

Yasopp is one of the earliest yonko commanders to be introduced to the series. He debuted alongside Shanks and the crew as a core member of the Red Hair Pirates. Similar to Van Augur, he is his crew’s sniper.

Fans have yet to firsthand witness Yasopp’s skills. But again, the fact that he made it into a yonko crew, and as a commander no less, is a testament to his strength.

7 Sabo Is The Revolutionary Army's Second-In-Command

Sabo Using His Devil Fruit

The Outlook noble household which resides in the East Blue’s Goa Kingdom is where Sabo originates from. Though through a sequence of events, he disowned his noble heritage and embraced piracy, the synonym of freedom.

But of course, fate decided to intervene before the prologue to Sabo’s personal journey could kick in. He is now the Revolutionary Army’s second-in-command; not much different from a Yonko’s right hand.

6 Portgas D. Ace Has A Fist Of Fire

Ace- One Piece

The late Ace grew up in the Goa Kingdom alongside Luffy and Sabo. He was the second to set out to sea and the first to make a name for himself. The name of “Fire Fist” Ace dominated the Grand Line for a good period of time.

Having said so, Ace later abandoned his super-rookie status as he took in Whitebeard’s grand name. And with a fire fist, his name rocked the seas once again.

5 Roronoa Zoro's Scars Tell The Tale Of Multiple Triumphant Battles

One Piece Zoro

Though there are a handful of fan theories tackling the possibility of Zoro being a Wano native, none of these theories were confirmed or even remotely addressed by the series. His mysterious origins aren’t helping in keeping these theories at bay either.

Origins aside, Zoro grew up in the East Blue and made a name for himself there. As for his strength, fans are already well aware of that.

4 Monkey D. Dragon Is The World's Most Wanted Man For Good Reason

Monkey D Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army and father of Monkey D. Luffy, during the events of One Piece

The supreme commander of the Revolutionary Army as well as the world’s most wanted man, that is Monkey D. Dragon. If there was one thing to learn from One Piece, then it’s with infamy comes credibility. And Dragon’s infamy is no joke.

His strength— as well as most other aspects of his character— still remain vague. But then again, no one would feel uncomfortable dubbing Dragon as one of the strongest characters in the series.

3 Monkey D. Luffy Grows Ever-Stronger As The Story Progresses

The apple does not fall away from the tree, and Luffy certainly did fall in close quarters to his family's tree. He, the son of Monkey D. Dragon, did not disgrace his father’s name; albeit it wasn't intentional.

If there was any character who the fans know the ins and outs of their strength, then that character would be none other than Luffy.

2 Monkey D. Garp's Strength Is Nearly Unrivaled

Garp is one of the few characters shown to return to their hometown of Goa Kingdom every now and then. He is free to cross the red line which makes it much easier to go back and forth to both halves of the Grand Line.

In all likelihood, there only exists a handful of characters capable of being compared to Garp when it comes to the strength department. He is unrivaled for the most part.

1 Gol D. Roger Is The Pirate King—Enough Said

Gol D. Roger, the King of the Pirates, grinning in One Piece.

The Pirate King, Gold Roger, drew both his first and final breath in East Blue’s Logue Town. His influence grew so big that he developed into a household name. The mighty name of Gold Roger is one that went down in history.

Strength-wise, Whitebeard and Garp (at their prime) were similar to Roger’s level. In terms of influence and reputation, however, they were nowhere as close.
