One Piece is arguably the greatest fictional story to ever come out of Japan. A true juggernaut of its time, spanning over 20 years and fanfare, only comparable to that of Dragon Ball. One Piece has led the industry in sales over the last decade.

One reason for this is the strong characters featured in the story and, if we're speaking about a character's strength, then look no further than series protagonist, Monkey D Luffy, a man strong not only in physical strength but also mentally and in spirit. He has come on in leaps and bounds and is currently one of the most powerful pirates around.

10 GOMU GOMU NO RHINO SCHNEIDER

This attack translates to "Rubber Rubber Rhinoceros Howitzer" and is first used against Donquote Doflamingo, much to his shock. A howitzer is a type of canon and Scheneir refers to a specific model of said howitzer. Luffy retracts his legs inside his own body before propelling them with incredible destructive force. This attack is strong enough to send one of the seven warlords of the sea crashing through several of Dressrosa’s buildings. However, this attack doesn't serve only raw power, the speed is also incredible. It is quick enough that even Doflamingo couldn’t keep up, despite having observation Haki.

9 GOMU GOMU NO DOUBLE CULVERIN

This, at first, appears to be a pretty straight forward and simple attack. Luffy rushes his opponent while pulling his arms back before aiming for a punch. Where this ability stands out is that, if Luffy misses his opponent, he can then activate the python ability. This acts as a homing device that can chase down his opponent until hits. it features extreme flexibility and what appears to be an almost endless range. As the double suggests, this version of the culverin sees Luffy chasing his opponents with two pythons.

8 GOMU GOMU NO KONG GUN

This is the very first attack Luffy uses after transforming into gear fourth on Dressrosa. Doflamingo laughs off his transformation but before he can even prepare himself, Luffy speed blitzes him using this technique. A straight forward and simple attack, Kong Gun seeks to overpower an opponent before he/she can get his/her guard prepared. What's even more impressive is that, even if an opponent is able to guard this attack, it is oftentimes still powerful enough to break through that guard. This happens against some heavy hitters in the One Piece universe, such as Donquixote Doflamingo, Charlotte Cracker, and Charlotte Katakuri.

7 GOMU GOMU NO LEO BAZOOKA

As the name suggests, this is another of Luffy's attacks that seeks to physically overwhelm his opponent. This attack was first showcased against Doflamingo and was more than enough to send him crashing through the King's plateau in Dressrosa.

This feat is particularly impressive when one takes into account the fact that Luffy and Doflamingo were a long way from the plateau at the point of impact. Luffy propels himself at his opponent while contracting his arms inside his body to add force. He then speeds up to an incredible pace before hitting his opponent with a double open palm strike.

6 GOMU GOMU NO KONG ORGAN

This attack is the rapid-fire version of the, aforementioned, Gomu Gomu No Kong Gun. It combines the destructive force of the Kong Gun with rapid and consistent attacks. This flurry of attack is strong enough to destroy Charlotte Cracker’s biscuit soldiers with a single hit. This is no small feat, being that Cracker is one of Big Mom's sweet commanders. This is achieved through Luffy once again compressing his arms into himself before stretching them to the side. He does this at such an amazing speed that he creates afterimages. After this, he strikes in rapid succession until his opponent is down or until Luffy runs out of stamina.

5 GOMU GOMU NO JET CULVERIN

This attack on the list comes from Luffy's snake man version of gear fourth. This version is designed to be much faster while incorporating several aspects of observation haki. This isn't too dissimilar to the previous Culverin but, in terms of speed, it is on a completely different level to that of any other culverin based attack seen in the series. When first used against Charlotte Katakuri the attack gains more speed and power the further the python chases the opponent. The greatest testament to this attack's speed is that it managed to damage an opponent who could see into the future.

4 GOMU GOMU NO BLACK MAMBA

This is the gear fourth version of Luffy's Gomu Gomu No Gatling. Just as its previous version, this is a speed-based attack. Luffy jumps into the air before arching backward and compressing his arms. After he can't compress them any further he leans back even more before unleashing a flurry of rapid-fire attacks.

When first used, this attack initially keeps Katakuri guessing before he uses his incredible observation haki to escape from it. The attacks seem somewhat random, while combing the homing effect gained from Luffy's python ability.

3 GOMU GOMU NO KING COBRA

King Cobra Luffy

Luffy spreads his arms as wide as they can get, without using his devil fruit ability, before compressing them into his body and firing off with incredible force and speed. However, rather than aiming directly at his opponent immediately, Luffy instead sends his 'cobra' around his immediate vicinity as a means of increasing both its speed and destructive capacity. This attack was strong enough to take down Charlotte Katakuri, Big Mom's highest-ranked sweet commander, and a man with a bounty of over one billion berries.

2 GOMU GOMU NO KING KONG GUN

As the name suggests, this is one of the most destructive moves Luffy learned during his two-year training on Rusukaina.  Luffy first uses this attack to finish off Doflamingo. Doflamingo throws up his spider web to absorb the blow of Luffy's incoming attack while simultaneously firing off his Sixteen Holy Bullets: God Thread. After compressing his arms, Luffy blows into his forearm expanding it exponentially before slamming this ginormous fist straight at Doflamingo. This is not only strong enough the destroy both of the warlord's attacks, but the force is even strong enough disturb the waters surrounding Dressrosa.

1 RYOU BASED ATTACKS

This is a fairly new technique, owing to the training and knowledge that Luffy acquired during his time on Wano. This technique is an even more advanced form of armament haki with the ability to bypass an opponent's immediate defense. It instead reaches directly inside an opponents body, destroying them from within. Going forward, this attack will be Luffy's most potent attack and will undoubtedly be used to take down the King of Beast Kaido.
