Netflix recently gave One Piece fans a sneak peek at two major items from its upcoming adaptation at an exclusive event called "Only On Netflix."As per Sportskeeda, the streaming company will soon hold a Japanese-exclusive event known as "Only On Netflix," where it will display two important props from their One Piece series. This includes Luffy's iconic straw hat and the character's hand-painted rendition of the Jolly Roger -- the official flag of the Straw Hat Pirates. A recent tweet gave fans across the globe a glance at said props, capturing an official look at what these iconic items will look like in the highly-anticipated show.RELATED: One Piece's Queen Otohime Teaches Valuable Real-Life Lessons for the Next Generation

Fans Got a Preview of Luffy's Hat and the Jolly Roger

The tweet features two pictures, including Luffy's hat on the left and the flag on the right. Both items are accurate to the source material, with the cap designed to reflect the protagonist's classic costume and the flag illustrated to be identical to Luffy's rendition. The design on the flag is not the official Jolly Roger that the crew adopts as their symbol; instead, it is a crude attempt from the protagonist to draw the skull and crossbones design. The character of Usopp eventually designed the flag that the crew used throughout the series.

Netflix has a notable history of re-creating popular anime projects, with two of the most well-known being Death Note (2017) and Cowboy Bebop (2021), both of which were received poorly by audiences and critics. Speculation on the One Piece series' quality has already circulated online, with a recently debunked rumor suggesting that the first test screening bombed with viewers. However, Eiichiro Oda, the manga creator, has confirmed that the adaptation will not release until he is happy with it.
