Even Roronoa Zoro lost to her 2001 times, showing how much effort she'd put in.

Shanks rose to the position of Yonko six years before the current storyline of One Piece. All the other Yonko in the story have special powers, such as Whitebeard with the Gura Gura no Mi, Kaido as a Mythical Zoan Dragon, and Big Mom with monstrous power since birth. Yet, Shanks, a guy without any Devil Fruit and just one arm, was somehow able to enter the ranks of the Yonko, which was extremely impressive.
