WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Episode 905 of One Piece, "Taking Back O-Tama! A Fierce Fight Against Holdem!"

After a great deal of build-up, One Piece has finally reached the fight between Luffy and Holdem, one of the many of Wano's Shogun's lieutenants. This particular bad-guy has stolen O-Tama, hoping to use her magical cheeks. Holdem is a colossal man with a lion for a belly. Holdem appears to know way more about the history of Wano than Luffy -- which, granted, isn't very difficult to do, considering Luffy is a bit of an idiot.

Still, after episodes of hunting, Luffy has found O-Tama's captor. Sure, he threw a sumo wrestler through Holdem's roof and this has him more than a little upset. Still, none of that soils the fight that has been built up over the last several episodes. Does it deliver?

THE HOSTAGES

Holdem's lion belly, Kamijiro, keeps O-Tama firmly clamped between his jaws, threatening to break her in two should Luffy dare take a step forward. Holdem seems to believe Luffy and the gang have some ties to Shutenmaru, the head of a guild of thieves known as the Atamayama Thieves Brigade, who have been stealing from the Shogun's private gardens. Luffy has no idea who any of these people are, yet Holdem insists they have to be a part of the guild, or else they'd never be able to get this far.

However, as O-Kiku points out, it would be best not to provoke Holdem any further. The townspeople fear the man behind Holdem who paralyzes those beneath him in fear: Jack the Draught. However, as Luffy and Zoro remember, Jack was swatted away a long time ago by a giant elephant, presumed to be dying.

However, O-Kiku informs them that Jack had actually survived his disaster. Luffy sees the whole of Bakura Town held hostage just as O-Tama is -- and just as they are -- unwilling to take a step forward, or else O-Tama might die.

SAVING O-TAMA

However, before they can attack, Speed comes in with a tray full of food for the village, questioning what the hold-up is with everything. The food, as O-Kiku points out, is untainted and pure, unlike the poisoned food the commoners are forced to eat. This motivates Luffy and Zoro to come up with a spur-of-the-moment plan.

At the same time as Speed enters, Hawkins also enters Bakura Town, hoping to reach Holdem before Luffy and Zoro fight him. However, before he can go any further, a stranger wearing a basket on his head and a massive sword steps in Hawkins' path. The individual in question? Trafalgar D. Water Law, who has been following Luffy around Wano for the last several episodes. Knowing Luffy needs time, he takes a stand to buy some.

Holdem orders his men to bombard and pummel Luffy. Should they draw their weapons, he'll devour O-Tama -- but Zoro calls his bluff and, with one strike, swats hundreds of men away. Holdem, however, responds by getting ready to devour O-Tama.

But before he can do so, Luffy leaps up, punches the stomach in the face, and snatches O-Tama before the jaws can close on her.

THE FIGHT

Zoro gets to work right away, carving through the men as he makes a dash for the food cart. Speed fires arrows at him, which he swats aside before sending the henchmen, again, flying. When one of the sumos grabs O-Kiku from behind, she is held as a hostage. But Zoro doesn't seem too worried, He admits that he isn't going to help O-Kiku. This decision is validated when O-Kiku breaks free a second later and cuts her hostage down, joining Zoro in the fight against the legions of soldiers defending the food.

Speed launches a load of arrows that O-Kiku and Zoro cleaves through, managing to get around her to snag the food tray. They call the giang dog their way, to whom they tie the wagon, leaving Bakura Town with the food.

Holdem makes Kamijiro breathe flame into his sword, which causes the blade to split into a great whip of fire. He swings it for Luffy, who evades each strike. While dodging, he notices O-Tama's bruised cheeks from where Holdem tried to pry flesh away. While O-Tama tries to tell him not to worry but this only serves to infuriate Luffy. And so, he unleashes the full fiery fury of the Red Hawk strike, leaving Holdem a burning, flaming mess.

O-Tama, staring at the fire flaring in all directions, can only think of her hero and Luffy's brother: Ace.
