With every Shonen series, there comes a Power Scale or Power System. It goes by many different names, but all readers recognize it when they see it. With Dragonball Z it was Power Levels or Ki, with Dr. Stone oddly enough it was scientific prowess or progress, and with One Piece it's Devil Fruits.

Without Devil Fruits, we'd have no kid who took a bit of Gum Gum! In any case, there have been a lot of different Devil Fruits revealed among the three types over the years, and we're here today to look at some of the weirdest fans might have forgotten about.

10 The Woshu Woshu No Mi

We've only seen this fruit once or twice, but it belongs to a Vice Admiral in the marines known as Tsuru and she uses it well. The Washu Washu fruit seemingly seems to completely incapacitate its opponents and allows the wielder to hang them out to dry as if they were laundry.

When done, it apparently washes out a bit of the evil in their hearts as well, meaning over time Tsuru has probably turned pirates into Marines. It doesn't seem like a battle-centric fruit, more of an "if I get near you it's over" sort of power and those are the scariest.

9 The Beri Beri No Mi

The next fruit on this list is Very Good. Or, perhaps it's better to say, it's owned by a Marine named Very Good. Other than his odd name, this Marine Captain also has an odd power, the power to split his body into multiple orbs. Much like Buggy The Clowns fruit, Very Good can split up into any number of pieces he wishes and floats in mid-air. But, opposite to the Clown Shikibuckai, Very Good either fully goes Berry or not at all, he can't only turn one part into orbs (as far as fans know).

This fruit seems very situational, as capturing his head is a free win and it hard to think of all too many uses for berry-shaped body parts. But, Very Good seems like an upstanding guy and we'd love to see this dude in one of the many, many One Piece games.

8 The Jake Jake No Mi

If fans had to choose, the Jake Jake No Mi would by far be the pick for the weirdest Devil Fruit. It turns the user into a "Jacket Human" meaning anyone can "wear" them like a jacket. Horrifying images that conjures up aside, it's basically a mind/body control power. If Kelly Funk, the DF's owner, can put himself onto anyone and zip up, he fully controls them.

It could be a human, beast, or even an alien, and Kelly would have full control. The Users body seems to magically stretch to fit the size it would need to be as a jacket for anyone, and it seems Kelly goes limp ones he activates it. It's unsure as of yet if Kelly Funk can do anything on his own with this fruit, but we'd guess probably not.

7 The Ton Ton/Kilo Kilo No Mi

So far in the series, this is the only DF viewers can think of that is a direct upgrade from another DF. Yes, Ace's Fire fruit and Akainu's Magma fruit are similar, but Magma and Fire aren't exactly the same. However, the power to change your own weight whether by tons or kilos is the exact same power, just to a different scale.

Fans know of the Kilo Kilo No Mi from Miss Valentine during the Alabasta Arc, and they know of the Ton Ton No Mi from Machvise, a higher-up in Doflamingo's crew. Basically, this power allows the user to increase their weight up to thousands of Tons, which is terrifying!

6 The Bata Bata No Mi

Moving away from Donquixote Doflamingo, the giggliest of the Celestial Dragons, and onto the absurdity that was the Whole Cake Arc with Big Mom, let's talk about her kids. Big Mom has had a ton of kids and most of them have Devil Fruit abilities! There's Cracker, Smoothie, and Katakuri who are all Paramencia types pertaining to different types of sweets (Biscuits, Smoothies, and Mochi).

There's Opera who is a Cream Human and then there is Galette who has the Bata Bata No Mi, making her a Butter Human. This DF is as dumb as it sounds, the user can generate infinite amounts of Butter which fans thought would make them extra slippery, but actually works as an adhesive when used in the anime.

5 The Hoya Hoya No Mi

Among the types of Paramencia Devil Fruits out there, the ones that control emotions or concepts are the weirdest. Gecko Moria's power is to control shadows yet he uses it to make zombie soldiers and basically Copy+Paste great warriors into even better bodies. Perona can make people negative with her ghosts yet she uses them either as Astral Projections of herself or as bombs. And Charlotte Daifuku can summon a Genie from his stomach, enough said. This power is doubly weird because the Genie has sentience and conversations with Daifuku.

But, it's also extremely strong and can change size. The only downside fans noticed is that it requires focus to keep summoned and Daifuku has to keep rubbing his belly, so if he can't do that, he's just a normal guy.

4 The Kuku Kuku No Mi

Turns out, if a DF allows one to create food in any capacity, it usually tastes bad. Fans saw this with Danjuro's painting-based DF and Tama's Dango-based fruit, so would an entire fruit-based around making food follow the same rule? The Kuku Kuku fruit was eaten by Streusen, Big Mom's head chef, and she says that any food many by his power tastes awful, but she is super picky.

In any case, this DF allows the user to turn anything into food as long as they or an object they're holding can touch said object. Of all the Devil Fruits out there, this one would be perfect for the Strawhat Crew.

3 The Unnamed Fruit Minochihuahua Holds

Here's One Piece's first unnamed DF, and also its first Zoan. Devil Fruit powers are separated into three categories, Zoan, Paramecia, and Logia. Logia is the most overpowered, Zoan's have the coolest forms/transformations, and Paramencia tends to be gimmicky. Now Impel Down has a fair amount of awakened Devil Fruit users in the form of the Jailer Beasts of the prison who follow Sadi around.

These odd-looking monsters are insanely strong, insanely hardy, and insanely misleading with their appearance. And none is more so than the Minochihuahua. It's a funny gimmick, but fans really want to see how brutal this thing can be.

2 The Devil Fruit Jewelry Bonney Wields

Finally, there's mention someone from the Worst Generation. This name symbolizes a group of pirates who all made huge names for themselves very quickly. Some notable names on this list are Monkey D. Luffy, Capone Bege, Basil Hawkins, X-Drake, Eustace Kid, Trafalgar Law, And Jewelry Bonney. Bonney, in particular, has an odd DF power.

It's still unnamed or explained in-canon, but fans can infer it's an ability that allows her to change the age of things around her. But, we've also seen her use it to disable a platoon of marines by making them all way too young or way too old. There's a ton someone could do with a power like this, and many feel like they've just seen the tip of the iceberg.

1 The Saru Saru No Mi, Model: Axolotl

So...Punk Hazard. This is the island that Ceasar Clown, a villain that hangs around way too much, resides on, and also the one he destroyed 4 years ago. Apparently, the guy managed to group all of the gas together and make it into a sentient slime pile.

Then, the guy somehow made inanimate slime eat a Devil Fruit, and Smiley was born! Smiley was "fed" the Zoan Fruit of the Axolotl. This means the Slimy Smiley can grow legs and run around. But, after Smiley "died" eating Ceasar's candy, fans saw a nearby apple become the Saru Saru fruit, so maybe it'll be back?
