Marshall D. Teach, also known as Blackbeard, is one of the Four Emperors of the Sea in One Piece and also a tremendously powerful villain. He is the only person in the entire series known to have consumed two Devil Fruits and from what fans saw at Marineford, Blackbeard knows some secrets about how the Devil Fruits work.

After the time-skip, it was revealed that Teach and his crew are hunting for powerful Devil Fruits and are thus targeting the people who have eaten them, and there are a few that Teach would love to get his hands on.

10 Would Target: Mera Mera no Mi — Teach has always had a fascination for it

Sabo using the Mera Mera no Mi during One Piece.

The Mera Mera no Mi is a Logia type of Devil Fruit that was first eaten by Portgas D. Ace. After Ace died in the Paramount War, his Devil Fruit ended up reaching the hands of Doflamingo and in the Dressrosa arc, Sabo ate it.

Teach has always had a fascination for the Mera Mera no Mi as he wanted Ace to join his crew and even had Burgess in Dressrosa to retrieve this fruit for him. He could very well go after Sabo to get his hands on it.

9 Won't Need: Hito Hito no Mi — it isn't something Teach would be looking for as it isn't anywhere close to being one of the strongest

Chopper One Piece Wano Outfit Calm Reindeer

The Zoan type Hito Hito no Mi was eaten by Chopper at Drum Island and this Devil Fruit gave him the power to transform himself from a reindeer into a human. With the Rumble Balls, Chopper could further access 7 transformations and after the time-skip, he can access 6 without the Rumble Balls.

While his Devil Fruit is certainly impressive, it isn't something Teach would be looking for as it isn't anywhere close to being one of the strongest.

8 Would Target: Gomu Gomu no Mi — Burgess attempted to steal it from Luffy during the Dressrosa arc

Luffy eating his Devil Fruit in One Piece.

The Gomu Gomu no Mi is a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit eaten by Monkey D. Luffy at a very young age. This fruit doesn't appear to offer much power, however, it is certainly quite underrated.

The fact that Burgess attempted to steal it from Luffy during the Dressrosa arc confirms that it is a fruit that the crew had their eyes on. Thanks to Sabo, Burgess couldn't do anything to Luffy.

7 Won't Need: Numa Numa no Mi — it is lacking in comparison to other Logias

Caribou, the user of the Numa Numa no Mi, during the Return to Sabaody arc in One Piece

Probably the weakest Logia in the series, the Numa Numa no Mi belongs to a man with a 200-million berries bounty, called Wet-Haired Caribou. This Devil Fruit has turned his body into a swamp where he can trap most people.

While his Devil Fruit is impressive as a force of nature, it certainly is lacking in comparison to other Logias and thus, won't be a target for Blackbeard.

6 Would Target: Mythical Uo Uo no Mi — It appears to be one of the strongest in the entire series & possibly the strongest of all the Zoans

Kaido in Dragon form

Eaten by Kaido of the Four Emperors, the Mythical type Uo Uo no Mi is a unique Devil Fruit that was given to him by Big Mom 38 years ago at God Valley. This Devil Fruit is extremely powerful and has turned him into a dragon.

It appears to be one of the strongest in the entire series and possibly the strongest of all the Zoans. Since Blackbeard has the strongest Logia and the strongest Paramecia, it would make sense for him to have the strongest Zoan as well.

5 Won't Need: Ori Ori no Mi — it's still not special enough for Blackbeard to target it

"Black Cage" Hina

Eaten by the Marine Rear Admiral Hina, Ori Ori no Mi is a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that has the power to cage anyone. Hina can produce black rods from her body which can be clasped around a person, caging them in the process.

This Devil Fruit is certainly strong and under a better user, it would be dangerous, however, it's still not special enough for Blackbeard to target it.

4 Would Target: Soru Soru no Mi — its strength would certainly be of great use to Blackbeard

Soul Soul Fruit Big Mom

Big Mom's Soru Soru no Mi once belonged to Mother Carmel, a child trafficker who posed as a Nun, however, its powers were transferred to Charlotte Linlin after she ate her. The power of this Devil Fruit, along with Linlin's tremendous strength, is what makes her a Yonko.

The Soru Soru no Mi is, without a doubt, one of the strongest Paramecia to exist in the One Piece world and it would certainly be of great use to Blackbeard.

3 Won't Need: Bara Bara no Mi — it has great utility, but it is of no need to Blackbeard

Buggy Unharmed After Being Cut In Half By Dracule Mihawk

Eaten by none other than the former Shichibukai Buggy the Clown, the Bara Bara no Mi is a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that lets him split his body into parts and control them individually within a certain sphere. Aside from the feet, all his body parts can float. It also makes Buggy impervious to any slash-type attacks.

While the Bara Bara no Mi certainly has great utility, it's not powerful and all would be of absolutely no need to Blackbeard.

2 Would Target: Ope Ope no Mi — this Devil Fruit can grant immortality to another person & even swap personalities

The Op-Op Fruit Saved Law's Life (One Piece)

Known to be the Ultimate Devil Fruit, the Ope Ope no Mi is a Paramecia that was eaten by Trafalgar Law and turned him into a modified human. With its powers, he can create large ROOMs and inside them, he can control absolutely everything, from the terrain to the people present.

Everyone inside the ROOMs is said to be like a patient on his operating table. What's more, this Devil Fruit can grant immortality to another person and even swap personalities.

Streusen Kuku Kuku no Mi

The Kuku Kuku no Mi was eaten by the head chef of the Big Mom Pirates, named Streusen. This Devil Fruit lets him turn anything non-living into food, mostly when he cuts it.

Blackbeard certainly wouldn't need a food-related power and even if he did, he'd be better off hiring a good chef as the food prepared by this Devil Fruit power doesn't exactly taste good.
