There are tons of One Piece theories out there. Some of them might be valid while others are way too crazy. Even crazier for Eiichiro Oda to include in his masterpiece. Because of how big the work is, One Piece actually has the potential to include all the crazy theories of its fans.
10 Time Traveling In Order To Train
Kaido took Luffy's strongest attacks and didn't waver. Luffy, on the other hand, was knocked down with only one swing from Kaido in his human form. This makes it obvious that Luffy cannot take on Kaido in a one-on-one fight, nor any other emperor.
In fact, he will never be worthy of the Pirate King title if he can't defeat an emperor. For that, training is a necessity. However, going back in time to do so is strange and might change the story quite a lot; going back in time will give Luffy the chance to save his brother Ace, for instance. Nevertheless, the Time-Time Fruit does actually exist which opens a new world of possibilities.
9 Shanks Is A Celestial Dragon
One of the mysteries that have recently emerged is the meeting between Emperor Shanks and the Gorosei. It is very strange how the representatives of the World Government agreed to meet with a pirate in their Holy Land Mary Geoise, especially when their hands are full with the hassle of the Reverie. With small info from the series to rely on, some say that Shanks is a Celestial Dragon.
The fact that Donquixote Doflamingo, a former Celestia Dragon, had a relationship with the world government even though he is a pirate further proves this theory. However, no one can prove this case because this is Shanks, one of the important pillars that preserve the peace in the four seas.
8 Imu Is Luffy's Mom
Imu Sama is the most important character revealed in the Reverie Arc. With the five Gorosei bowing, Imu appeared in a gloomy and unclear appearance. When everyone thought that the Gerosei are the highest authority in the World Government, Oda proved them wrong.
When it comes to the relationship between Imu Sama and Luffy, Imu's concern with (or hate for) the Straw Hats is the only certain thing. However, being the son of a father who is the head of the Revolutionary Army and a mother who is the head of the World Government will make quite a story.
7 One Of The Straw Hats Is Actually A Secret Agent From CP-0
Eiichiro Oda has already played this card many times in his narrative: the implanted CP9 members with the carpenters in Water 7, and the samurai spy, Kurozumi Kanjuro, in the Red Scabbards. Oda can use the same card again with the Straw Hat Crew, but this won't change anything.
The crew has already built a strong relationship that can turn even their worst enemies into allies. The truth is that the crew's strength resides in the connection between its members. Luffy has entered both the territory of an emperor and the World Government and fought their armies for the sake of his crewmates. Therefore, even if there is a spy, they can never turn against the Straw Hats (unless Oda decides otherwise, of course).
6 After Wano, Luffy Will Have The Remaining Beast Pirates And Big Mom Pirates Under Him
It is easy to prove this theory wrong since Luffy has already rejected an entire army of 5640 members after the Dressrosa Arc. Instead, they formed what is called the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, which is a fleet of allies fighting for the same cause. After the Wano Arc, the samurai may join the Grand Fleet.
However, when it comes to the members of the Beast and Big Mom Pirates, this move is very unlikely to happen. But, Oda will surprise fans for sure, so strap in.
5 Luffy Can Go Gear 5 But Hasn't Done It Yet
Forging new forms to benefit from the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit the most is what Luffy has been doing since the beginning of One Piece. However, after meeting Silvers Rayleigh, Luffy discovered a greater weapon than any devil fruit:Â the power of Haki.
As it turned out, Luffy's training in Wano is focused on developing his Haki and physical strength. Luffy will likely pull off a third form of the Gear 4 (besides the Bounce Man and Snake Man), but again the main focus right now is on strengthening the Haki.
4 Charlotte Katakuri Will Join The Straw Hat Crew
After their fight, Katakuri asked Luffy whether he will return to fight Big Mom or not. Luffy's answer was, "Hell yeah, I will," and for some reason Katakuri was relieved. There is no denying that Katakuri admires Luffy. After all, he is the only one who defeated him fair and square.
However, Katakuri joining the Straw Hats is a fever that has sickened many fans. But, Charlotte Katakuri is a Sweet General of the Big Mom Pirates, one who loves his family and who is willing to die for it. Therefore, it is unlikely for Katakuri to join the crew, but he may be a valuable ally to Luffy.
3 Ussop Will Become Stronger Than Sanji And Zoro
Even after the 2 years of training, Ussop still has that weird sickness towards scary islands and absolutely everything. However, a fan theory suggests that Ussop will become stronger than the monster duo Zoro/Sanji. In terms of sheer and brutal power, there is no way for that to happen.
However, when it comes to the level of Observation Haki, things might turn in Ussop's favor. Ussop still didn't demonstrate any skill nor knowledge in using Haki. But amazingly enough, he was somehow able to use Observation Haki to determine the location of his enemy easily from miles away in the Dressrosa Arc. Therefore, fans might witness in the future the strongest Observation Haki used by the King of Snipers Ussop.
2 Ace Will Be Resurrected Using Trafalgar Law's Devil Fruit
Many fans are still mourning the loss of Ace and Whitebeard. Unlike Naruto, where the writer can bring back any dead character, in One Piece dead is typically final. However, Donquixote Doflamingo was obsessed with obtaining the Op-Op Fruit because of its ability to grant immortality.
Since Trafalgar Law is an ally of Straw Hat Luffy, he might agree on resurrecting Portgas D Ace. In fact, this theory is weak because there is no need to bring Ace back in the first place, except for creating a dramatic scene. After all, Ace's death was crucial for Luffy to get stronger and for other events to take place.
1 Luffy Will Meet Roger On The Moon
Last but not least, the craziest theory of the bunch. In the side stories that are published on the cover of each chapter, the conquest of Enel took place. Enel visited the moon where he found the ruins of an ancient civilization. This civilization, which carries more secrets than the Void Century itself, is way more technologically advanced, and it is believed to have the final piece of the One Piece puzzle.
For sure, Gol D Roger knew its secret along with the people of Ohara, and he is likely the first human to step on the moon. Due to the technological development on the moon, Roger might have left a holographic message of some sort for his successor. Thus, the first meeting between Luffy and Roger.
