One Piece is filled with many extremely powerful characters. Ever since the time-skip, we have been seeing a completely new level of enemies. The days of Luffy beating up a mere Warlord are long gone now. Things are moving rapidly in One Piece and one can't help but wonder what sort of things await us.
There is one thing that has been common throughout the series and that is the usage of legendary swords. We have seen many legendary grade swords being used by the characters. There are grades among these legendary swords as well. The highest grade swords are called Saijō Ō Wazamono. The swords belonging to this category are the rarest. It is followed by Ō Wazamono, Ryō Wazamono, and Wazamono. In this post, we are going to discuss who the characters possess these legendary swords.
10 Roronoa Zoro
Roronoa Zoro is the right-hand man of Monkey D. Luffy. He is one of the members of the Monster Trio. Zoro has wielded more legendary swords than any other character in the series so far. He has used a total of five legendary swords that include Enma, Wado Ichimonji, Shusui, Enma, Yubashiri, and Sandai Kitetsu.
All these swords are very powerful, but of course, there is a difference in their grading. Wado Ichimonji, Shusui, and Enma are Ō Wazamono grade swords. Yubashiri is Ryō Wazamono and Sandai Kitetsu is Wazamono.
9 Dracule Mihawk
Dracule "Hawk Eyes" Mihawk is a former Warlord of the Sea. He holds the title of the "World's Strongest Swordsman." Mihawk is considered by many to be above the level of a mere Warlord and they are not wrong. Mihawk rose to prominence before the Great Pirate Era started.
He used to be rivals with Shanks, who is a Yonkou. Mihawk wields the all-black blade known as Yoru. Yoru is a Saijō Ō Wazamono grade sword that makes it one of the rarest and powerful swords in the entire series.
8 Charlotte Cracker
Charlotte Cracker is the 10th son of Yonkou, Big Mom. Cracker was one of the major antagonists of Whole Cake Island. He fought against Luffy in order to stop him from crashing Big Mom's tea party.
Cracker has very strong Armament Haki and it enabled him to cut Luffy's stretched arm while he was in Gear Fourth. Luffy was able to beat Cracker in the end with help from Nami. Cracker is a very good swordsman and he wields Pretzel, which is a legendary sword. The grade of Pretzel is currently unknown.
7 Shiki
"Golden Lion" Shiki is one of the most powerful pirates in the series. Many fans actually think that Shiki is weak because he was easily dealt with by Luffy in One Piece: Strong World. However, the movie is non-canon. Shiki is among the elite pirates who roam the sea.
He was a rival of Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, and Edward Newgate. Shiki was the first person to escape from Impel Down. He also wreaked havoc at Marineford on his own. It took the combined efforts of Sengoku and Garp to stop him. Shiki has two legendary swords called Oto and Kogarashi.
6 Shiryu
Next up on the list we have Shiryu, who is currently a member of the Blackbeard Pirates. He saved Blackbeard and his crew from Magellan's venom. Afterwards, he joined up with them and became one of the captains of Blackbeard's ships.
Shiryu has the Suke Suke no Mi, which he obtained after killing Absalom. He possesses a nodachi called Raiu, which is also a legendary sword. Shiryu used to go on rampages in Impel Down and kill prisoners right up to the point that Magellan had to step in and imprison Shiryu.
5 Cavendish
Cavendish of the White Horse is a super rookie and the captain of the Beautiful Pirates. He is also known as the "Pirate Prince." Cavendish made his appearance at Corrida Coliseum. He was trying to get his hands on the Mera Mera no Mi.
After Doflamingo was beaten by Luffy, Cavendish joined the Straw Hat Grand Fleet and pledged his loyalty to Monkey D. Luffy. Cavendish has a legendary sword known as Durandal. Cavendish suffers from split personality and when his alter ego comes out, he becomes incredibly quick.
4 Ryuma
Ryuma is one of the most famed swordsmen in the history of One Piece. He is a well-respected swordsman and his sword, Shusui, is considered the national treasure of Wano. Shusui is one of the 21 Ō Wazamono grade swords. The sword was buried along with Ryuma after his death.
However, Moria dug up his grave and stole it. The sword was retrieved by Roronoa Zoro after he beat Ryuma at Thriller Bark. Kine'mon immediately attacked Zoro when he found that Zoro had the Shusui. Zoro finally gave the sword back after he received new swords at Wano.
3 Tashigi
Tashigi is a Marine captain serving in G-5 under Vice-Admiral Smoker. She has a goal of taking back all the legendary swords from the pirates, but she hasn't done anything spectacular to prove that she is capable of doing it. So far Tashigi has managed to gather three swords. She has Kashu, Yamaoroshi, and Shigure.
Kashu and Yamaoroshi are Ryō Wazamono grade swords. Shigure is a Wazamono grade sword. She really needs to improve her skills in order to get the swords back as the pirates aren't just gonna hand the swords over to her.
2 Kozuki Oden
Kozuki Oden was the daiymo of Kuri in Wano. He used to be a division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates and later he joined the Roger Pirates. Oden was killed by Kaido and his crew. Oden was a very powerful swordsman. He wielded Enma and Ame no Habakiri. Both of these swords are Ō Wazamono grade swords.
Also, Enma is the only weapon that has managed to hurt Kaido. He managed to gain complete control over the sword. Oden has managed to beat Ashura Doji in the past and that is pretty impressive considering Ashura Doji managed to fight toe-to-toe against Jack.
1 Charlotte Amande
The last person on our list is Amande, the third daughter of Big Mom. Also known as "Demon Lady," Amande possesses a nodachi called Shirauo. The sword is of unknown grade. It is very huge in size and it allows Amande to target opponents that are out of the reach of a normal sword.
Amande has shown her skills with the sword time and time again. She was able to kill the huge homie, Kingbaum, with her Shirauo. Also, Amande is really quick for her size and she is able to blitz most of her opponents with ease.
