One Piece is currently in its long-awaited Wano Kuni arc which began back in 2018. The author of the series, Eiichiro Oda, has gone on to hype this arc up countless times in the past and so far, it has lived up to the expectations. We've already gotten a good look at the beautiful country that is Wano and been introduced to some powerful Samurai who inhabit this land as well.

These Samurai are world-renowned and feared even by the World Government itself. So far, a handful of powerful Samurai stand out among those who were revealed in this arc, while others are simply not as impressive. Here is the list of the 5 strongest Samurai in Wano, and 5 others who are weak.

10 Strongest: Asura Doji

Asura Doji was the leader of the bandits in the lawless region of Kuri who later became one of the legendary members of the Nine Red Scabbards. He is an extremely powerful Samurai who is said to be the strongest in the Wano Country.

Although his physique says otherwise, he is extremely fast and powerful. He could even fight against the likes of Jack The Drought. Furthermore, his power is even recognized by the likes of Kaido of the Yonko, and he even wanted him to join his crew when the two met in Kuri.

9 Weakest: Kanjuro

Kanjuro is one of the retainers of Kozuki Oden who served under him for a very long time. Despite being a retainer of legendary Oden, he is very underwhelming and he hasn't done anything impressive in the series so far. He hasn't faced off against any strong opponents which show that he is rather weak.

Even though with his Devil Fruit, Kanjuro has barely shown us what he's capable of, although much of it has to do with the fact that he has been keeping his real abilities hidden. So far, he has constantly been a liability but his true nature is finally appearing.

8 Strongest: Denjiro

Denjiro is one of the members of the Nine Red Scabbards who took up the name "Kyoshiro" in order to hide his true identity. To wait for the arrival of the awaited day that Lady Toki spoke of before she died, Denjiro gained the trust of Orochi.

He is a powerful Yakuza Boss who serves under Shogun Kurozumi Orochi and has proven time and again that he is not to be taken lightly. In Flower Capital, he stopped a 720 Pound Phoenix from Zoro with ease and halted his advance. Furthermore, Zoro retreated from the place immediately, which shows that he's a capable warrior.

7 Weakest: Orochi

Orochi is the current Shogun of Wano Country and one of the main antagonists of the arc. He possesses a Mythical Zoan Devil which allows him to turn into a Dragon with eight heads.

Although it sounds awesome, he really isn't anything special. Orochi is a coward who lets other people do his dirty work. Every time he is focused on, he is being protected from the enemies by others, which just shows he isn't worthy of being the Shogun. Oden, on the other hand, was extremely powerful and loved by all. In comparison to him, Orochi is nothing but an insect in terms of power.

6 Strongest: Zorojuro

Roronoa Zoro staring off-screen during One Piece post-time skip.

Zoro is a member of the Strawhat Pirates and a great swordsman. He is an infamous pirate who has grown in terms of power during his time in the New World. As expected, Zoro can use Armament and Observation Haki which he learned during the time-skip.

During his training with Mihawk, Zoro managed to reach new heights, which is why he is so strong right now. Since then, he hasn't fought any enemy who could prove to be a match for him, except for Admiral Fujitora, Killer, and Kyoshiro.

5 Weakest: Magistrate

The magistrate is a character who was introduced moments into the Wano Country arc. He was seen murdering people by Zoro in the Flower Capital. Thanks to his political status, Zoro was captured and framed as a murderer, however, the Straw Hat swordsman beat him with a single slash of a seppuku blade.

All he could do was cut down innocent people in order to show his might, but ultimately he was just a samurai who couldn't become strong on his own. He was, without a doubt, the weakest of all the samurai we have seen in Wano.

4 Strongest: Trafalgar D. Water Law

Trafalgar Law Surgeon of Death One Piece

Law is the captain of the Heart Pirates and one of the members of the Worst Generation. He is a great swordsman who can combine his Devil Fruit with his swordplay in order to be highly destructive. Law possesses a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit, called Ope Ope no Mi, that helps him create "Room" within which he can control anything.

Furthermore, he can use high-level Armament Haki, strong enough to cut through Doflamingo's Haki. After the time skip, Law has grown tremendously powerful and at Wano Country, he posed as a Samurai. There, he defeated Hawkins, who even gave Zoro a hard time, with ease.

3 Weakest: Kuni

Kuni is a member of the Kyoshiro Family who resides in the Flower Capital of Wano. He is a Samurai who made his Introduction in Wano Act 2 when Sanji was selling Soba.

Kuni attempted to fight Sanji but was utterly defeated by him within a matter of seconds. Ultimately, he went to his boss to seek help from him because he was incapable of doing anything to the cook by himself. This just goes to show how pathetic of a Samurai he really is.

2 Strongest: Kawamatsu

Kawamatsu the Kappa is one of the retainers of the Kozuki Family and also quite a strong Samurai. He is a great swordsman who combines Sumo with his swordplay to create his special technique, known as Kappa-ryu.

Thanks to his powers, Kawamatsu has defeated many powerful members of the Beasts Pirates since he escaped from Udon. Another testament to his strength is that he was feared by the Beasts Pirates when he was in captivity and was only fed poisonous fish.

1 Weakest: Jibuemon

Jibuemon is a follower of the Kozuki Family who, like many others, has been waiting for the Promised Day that Lady Toki spoke of. He was first introduced when Momonosuke and the retainers traveled through time.

Jibuemon is a loyal follower of the Kozuki who has sworn his loyalty and thus tries to fulfill his duty at any cost. However, that certainly doesn't mean he is powerful. He hasn't shown his powers so far, and he looks old, which could possibly affect his abilities. Jibuemon is also a side-character, and we're certain that he's nowhere near the strongest character.
