Wano Country is one of the most important pieces of the One Piece story, and, like the Paramount War arc, fans have a huge war on their hands as Luffy and his alliance goes up against two of the Yonko in Kaido and Big Mom at Onigashima.

Just like fans witnessed at Marineford, it goes without saying that people will die. Even though the result will probably be in favor of the Luffy and Law's alliance, it is highly likely that lots of lives will be lost. Here are five characters that could die in Wano, as well as five who will make it out safely.

10 Die: Kin'emon

Kin'emon mad One Piece

Kin'emon is the leader of the Akazaya Nine, the Scabbards of Kozuki Oden who are aiming for the heads of Kaido and Orochi. Although he's strong, Kin'emon is leading his men against a Yonko of the Sea. He's already burned up most of his luck trying to get to Onigashima safely. If his death helps further Oden's cause, Kin'emon will gladly give him life up, and, being the leader, his chances of dying are the highest.

9 Live: Luffy

Luffy's Decision To Punch Charloss Changed The Entire World

The Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy is one of the strongest characters in the Pirate-Ninja-Mink-Samurai alliance, if not the strongest. He's the man who aims to become the King of the Pirates and to achieve that, he needs to go through Big Mom and Kaido first. Although the odds are against Luffy, it is easy to see that he won't die, being the main character of the series. Luffy might taste defeat at Onigashima, however, dying is out of the question.

8 Die: Denjiro

Denjiro is one of the strongest members of the Akazaya Nine who posed as Kyoshiro for 20 years in wait of Kin'emon's return. Right now, he's amassed thousands of people behind him and is following Kin'emon's lead into battle. Denjiro is the leader of one section of the Samurai himself, meaning that he has quite a major responsibility to uphold. Like Kin'emon, he won't think twice before sacrificing himself for Oden's cause.

7 Live: Roronoa Zoro

The swordsman and combatant of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro is one of the strongest fighters in this war. With the aim of surpassing even Dracule Mihawk, Zoro continues to grow stronger.

Just like Luffy, Zoro is a main character, and for him to die here would make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Fans are adamant that Zoro will make it out of the war alive and victorious.

6 Die: Inuarashi

Inuarashi is one of the Akazaya Nine, and his aim to free Wano from Orochi's time and open its borders. Being one of Oden's vassals, Inuarashi has already bet his life on this war. He has already clashed against Jack once and won't hesitate to do so once again, this time using his Sulong form. However, Inuarashi has already been weakened due to losing a leg. It is possible that he will fall in Wano.

5 Live: Trafalgar Law

Law is the Captain of the Heart Pirates and one of the members of the Worst Generation. He has a bounty of 500 million berries on his head, and, like Luffy, his aim is to take down Kaido in Wano. Although many believe Law to die in Wano, his death would mean too much wasted potential for his character. In time, Law could easily become one of the strongest pirates in the entire world, and for him to fall here doesn't make much sense.

4 Die: Kaido

The Captain of the Beasts Pirates, Kaido is one of the most powerful characters in One Piece and one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. He is known as the strongest creature on land, air, and sea, and a man who is indestructible.

For the alliance to win the war, Kaido's death is a necessary accomplishment. It has been built up for quite a long time, now and his chances of dying in the Wano war are very high.

3 Live: Eustass Kid

One of the Worst Generation, Kid is another big player in Wano who is aiming for Kaido's head. Previously, he was defeated by the Yonko due to Apoo's betrayal, and now he aims to exact revenge on him. Like Law, Kid had huge potential to fulfill, and his role in the war will be crucial. It'll be extremely interesting to see how well he fares against Kaido. At the same time, fans are adamant that Kid will make it out alive.

2 Die: Orochi

Kurozumi Orochi is the main antagonist of the Wano Country arc, along with Kaido. He's been ruling Wano for over 20 years now and has led the country to its doom, gradually. For him to release Wano from his grasp, Orochi needs to be killed off by one of Oden's Scabbards. He is, undoubtedly, an irredeemable character who will, more likely than not, face the sword by the end of the arc and lose his life.

1 Live: Momonosuke

Momonosuke is one of the main characters in the Wano Country arc so far even though his role hasn't been as significant so far. In some way, Oda will likely make him relevant and play a big part in the upcoming battle. Momonosuke will also be the next ruler of Wano after Orochi falls. It is easy to see that he won't be dying in this arc, or anytime soon.
