One of Bendis & Bachalo's "Uncanny X-Men" Is A Traitor

With the success of Brian Michael Bendis' "All-New X-Men" for Marvel NOW!, readers are understandably excited for the writer's next ongoing series covering Marvel Comics' merry mutants. Bendis and artist Chris Bachalo's "Uncanny X-Men" #1 hits February 13, but the team may already have a traitor in their midst.

Marvel has released a teaser by Bachalo giving a better view of the book's initial cast of Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magik, Magneto and two other mutants (presumed to be Eva Bell and Christopher Muse from "All-New X-Men") with the caption, "One of these X-Men is a traitor!"

The teaser also showcases a new, more detailed look at the new uniforms for Cyclops' squad, which is a major aspect of the book.

"When people go through a large change in life, they go through an alter of their appearance," Bendis said in December. "[Cyclops and his team are] in a unique place. There's something going on with their powers, there's something going on with them. You have Cyclops standing up as the public face of what he calls the Mutant Revolution. Emma Frost -- I think the character has evolved dramatically over the past 10 or 15 years. ... There's so much going on with her thanks to Grant Morrison, Joss Whedon, Matt and Ed -- there's so much going on with her. It will still express who she is physically, because it's an important part of her, but it'll be who she sees herself as."
