Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is set to have the biggest domestic debut ever for the beloved director.

According to DeadlineOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood will earn approximately $41 million domestically this weekend, which makes it the highest grossing opening for Tarantino. The movie is definitely being buoyed by a positive reception, as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood currently sits at 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The previous record holder for a Tarantino film was 2009's Inglourious Basterds at $38 million. However, his highest-grossing film domestically is currently 2012's Django Unchained, which earned $162 million domestically. At this time, it's unclear if Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will also become the director's highest-grossing film.

Although Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is performing particularly well, Disney's live-action remake of The Lion King will take the top spot at the box office for the second weekend in a row, earning $76.7 million for a domestic total of $351.9 million. Spider-Man: Far From Home, which recently passed the $1 billion mark, will take third place with $11.8 million domestically in its fourth weekend.
