With Once Upon Deadpool, the PG-13 alternate cut of this year's Deadpool 2, only a week and a half away from opening in theaters everywhere, a new promo teases what the more family-friendly cut of the film will feature.

In a promo for the New Zealand theatrical release, actor Julian Dennison, who appeared in the film as the mutant Firefist, reads from a faux storybook while mentioning that the new version of the movie will have "more than twenty minutes of new footage, new jokes, and, most importantly, me." This is an increase of earlier reports in October that mentioned the film was adding approximately fifteen minutes of new footage.

"Ryan Reynolds' obsession with swear words and violence meant that kids under sixteen, including myself, weren't allowed to see it," explained Dennison on why the limited holiday theatrical run of the PG-13 version had to come about. "Forced to wait to watch it on DVD like a loser or miss out on it altogether. Not cool, man. Not cool."

While promoting Deadpool 2's initial theatrical release in May, Dennison had previously admitted he was not technically allowed to watch film in theaters due to his age. Now with its less restrictive rating, Dennison may get the chance to see his own performance in the film on the big screen.
