Nothing conveys the spirit of the holidays quite like the Merc with a Mouth and Fred Savage riding Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, as seen on the poster for Once Upon a Deadpool, the PG-13 re-release of Deadpool 2.

The accompanying tweet reads, "On December 12th, there will be zero F’s given," a reference not only to Deadpool's guiding philosophy, but also the more family-friendly edit.

The PG-13 cut isn't merely outtakes or repackaged footage from the R-rated Deadpool 2. Instead, it will include two new scenes, totaling 15 minutes, believed to be bookends that parody the framing device from The Princess Bride, featuring Savage.

“I think it’s not only going to appeal to kids but also to people who love Deadpool,” explained co-writer Paul Wernick. “I think it’s subversive enough and fun and creative and something that only Deadpool could do. So I think it’s going to be a real joy for not only a whole new audience, but also an audience that has seen and loved the Deadpool movies.”
