Following a screening of the season five premiere of "Once Upon a Time," executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis revealed to Entertainment Weekly that they plan on exploring an LGBT in this coming season.

The revelation came in response to the return of Mulan (played by Jamie Chung) to the series and her feelings toward her companion Aurora (Sarah Bolger). The two were originally introduced during the show's second season and since then many fans have been clamoring for a further exploration of their relationship and the potential move toward a more romantic one. Now it seems like their wishes may come true -- may.

"We know that community have been big supporters of the show and we would love to be able to tell a love story that reflects that," Kitsis told EW.

"We want the show to reflect the world as it is now," added Horowitz. "Whether that's going to be with any particular character, we're not going to say."

Kitsis quickly added that it was something they definitely plan on exploring this year but their comments leave it vague on whether or not it would be with Mulan and Aurora, any of the many new characters entering the show this season or even older characters -- or any combination of the above. After all, nothing says they're only going to explore one LGBT relationship.

"Once Upon a Time" premieres Sunday, September 27, on ABC.
