ABC's planned spinoff for Once Upon a Time now has a title, Once: Wonderland. In case that didn't tip you off, this time the fairy-tale drama is going to head down the rabbit hole.

Deadline reports actress Sophie Lowe has been cast to play Alice, who "has a generous heart but carries the scars of a long hard life." Her love interest Cyrus, played by Peter Gadiot, has a "background shrouded in mystery," while Michael Socha's Knave of Hearts is "a sardonic adventurer, a man of action, a loner and a heart-breaker." It will be set "in pre-curse Wonderland."

The initial plan was for the spinoff to center of the Once Upon a Time's popular Mad Hatter, played by Sebastian Stan of Marvel's Captain America franchise.

Production will begin April 7 in Vancouver, and will begin right as Once Upon a Time wraps its season season. Once creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are penning Wonderland's 15 to 20 page, four-scene presentation with the help from Once's Jane Espenson and Zack Estrin. Estrin is expected to act as showrunner on Once: Wonderland if ABC picks it up to series. No word yet if the spinoff will get a backdoor pilot in Once Upon a Time.
