"Once Upon a Time" Actress to Star in CW's "iZombie"

"Once Upon a Time" actress Rose McIver has been cast as the lead in "iZombie," the CW pilot based on the Vertigo comic by Chris Roberson and Mike Allred.

Deadline reports that McIver, who plays Tinker Bell on the ABC fairy-tale drama, will star as medical student-turned-zombie Olivia "Liv" Moore, who takes a job at the coroner's office to have access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity. (The character is named Gwen in the comic.) However, with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse's memories, and must team with the medical examiner and a police detective to solve murder cases to silence the voices in her head.

Developed by "Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas and his frequent collaborator Diane Ruggiero, "iZombie" also stars Robert Buckley, Malcolm Goodwin, Alexandra Krosney and David Anders. The supernatural police procedural is a contender for The CW's 2014-2015 schedule.
