The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are about to come face-to-face with the mysterious Omega Rangers in BOOM! Studios next comic book crossover event for the fan-favorite franchise: Necessary Evil.
Penned by longtime Power Rangers writer Ryan Parrott, the event is illustrated by Daniele di Nicuolo, colored by Walter Baiamonte and lettered by Ed Dukeshire. BOOM! Studios has released an unlettered preview of the event's launch in the pages of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #47, along with cover art by Jamal Campbell, Goñi Montes and Kris Anka.
Showcasing the Rangers battling their iconic foe Goldar before departing for deep space, the comic book storyline is set to run for 11-issues. The Rangers will explore the multiverse-bending fallout of the acclaimed previous event Shattered Grid.
The earlier event featured Rangers from across the franchise's entire history coming together to face off against a reality-threatening evil. With a new faction known as the Omega Rangers making themselves known to the classic ensemble, a new mutual threat endangers the fragile peace once again.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #47 is written by Ryan Parrot and illustrated by Daniele di Nicuolo. It is on sale January 22 from BOOM! Studios.
