The confrontation between Iron Man and Captain Marvel is drawing closer, and Marvel continued the "Civil War II" promotion Monday with another Phil Noto-illustrated character-centric teaser for the event: This one featuring Old Man Logan, the aged alternate timeline version of Wolverine, as first seen on the Wall Street Journal. Presumably, Old Man Logan has a unique perspective on the tagline "Protect the Future. Change the Future." -- being from a version of Marvel's future and all.

"Civil War II" looks to put Marvel's heroes in a similar ideological (and physical) battle as the 2006-2007 original, except this one sees Iron Man and Captain Marvel on opposing sides, with the divide stemming from whether or not superheroes should stop future crime before it happens, when given the ability to do so. It's set to start at the same time as Marvel Studios' "Captain America: Civil War," inspired by the original comics series, will be in theaters.

The main "Civil War II" series, from the "Ultimate Comics Spider-Man" team of writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist David Marquez, is scheduled to debut in June. A prelude #0 issue, from Bendis and artist Olivier Coipel, has been solicited for release in May.
