Marvel's The End one-shots imagine the fates of the publisher's many beloved heroes. The publisher has now provided CBR with an exclusive preview of writer/artist Erik Larsen and colorist Dono Sanchez-Almara's Captain America: The End #1, which imagines the titular Avenger in a world populated by Red Skulls.

The preview, which you can see below along with the solicitation information for the issue, sees an older Captain America fighting hordes of Red Skulls. Although the original Red Skull is apparently dead, these copies mindlessly attack and seem to be part of a general hivemind. Survivors "turn with a scratch, a touch, a smell. Anything." Although the Red Skulls do speak, the language the narration uses indicates they're essentially zombies.
