Keanu Reeves' John Wick is headed to Rome. According to the official synopsis for "John Wick: Chapter 2," a former associate will force the title character out of retirement and bring him to Rome for a deadly new challenge:
Keanu Reeves returns in the sequel to the 2014 hit as legendary hitman John Wick who is forced to back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers. Lionsgate’s “John Wick: Chapter 2” arriving in theaters on February 10, 2017.
Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, Bridget Moynahan, Tom Sadowski and Lance Reddick will reprise their roles in the sequel. Common, Ruby Rose (“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter”), Riccardo Scamarcio (“Burnt”) and Peter Stormare (“Fargo”) have also been added to the cast. Filming is already under way.
Produced for just $20 million, “John Wick” became a surprise 2014 hit for Lionsgate, grossing $78.7 million worldwide.
"John Wick: Chapter Two" is scheduled to hit theaters on February 10, 2017.
