Star Wars fans will get the opportunity for an epic team-up with C-3PO in the upcoming VR experience Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge, arriving on Oculus Quest this holiday season.

A gameplay teaser trailer for the upcoming title follows a droid repair technician who crashes on the faraway planet Batuu, where he meets Threepio. Revealing that he is on a top-secret mission with the Resistance, Threepio enlists the player for help as they navigate the dangerous Outer Rim world.

Inspired by the popular Disney theme park expansion and its primary setting, the trailer shows players using blasters, thermal detonators and other gadgets to stay alive as they battle space pirates across the barren world.

Announced in May, the development team sought to have the VR experience's world match the Disney theme park's setting as much as possible as players explore Black Spire Outpost before visiting other locations and eras in the Star Wars franchise after hearing tales from the new character Seezelslak, voiced by Bobby Monihan.

In Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, you'll play as a droid repair technician who crash lands on Batuu after a pirate attack. In typical Star Wars fashion, you'll quickly get swept up into a grand adventure on the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost.

You can converse with Seezelslak (Bobby Moynihan) in his cantina and be transported to other places and times in the Star Wars galaxy through his legendary tales. Or, you can receive important missions to complete in the wilds of Batuu, encountering new and iconic characters along the way, like the pirate Tara Rashin (Debra Wilson).
