WARNING: The following article contains major spoilers for October Faction Season 1, streaming now on Netflix.

Netflix's October Faction is built on mysteries and secrets within the monster-hunting Allen household, as well as the sinister Presidio organization that hires people like Fred (J.C. MacKenzie) and Deloris (Tamara Taylor) to do its dirty work across the globe. By the time Season 1 ends, we discover Presidio was merely using them, brainwashing other soldiers as extremists, and also using the eradication of creatures as a cover for something far more sinister.

But while we do get answers for many issues plaguing the Allens, the monsters they hunted and their twin warlock kids, there are a lot more questions that pop up by the time the finale rolls credits.

WHO IMPRISONED ALICE?

The main villain of this season is the warlock Alice (Maxim Roy), who returns from a watery grave after Viv Allen (Aurora Burghart) awakens her during a seance. She's actually the mom of Viv and Geoff (Gabriel Darku). The two were kidnapped at birth during a genocide at the Harlow monster haven and raised by Fred and Tamara. However, Alice escaped this massacre so we'd love to know how she was imprisoned beneath Boston's waters and who kept her there for so many years.

With the vampire Moshe (Dayo Ade) now hunting her, some think it could be him, as he was once an ally of Alice who lost hope in her leadership. What's interesting is Alice said she linked up with a rogue faction after Harlow and they betrayed her, so it could be Moshe's crew or perhaps a new batch of warlocks we didn't see in Season 1. Either way, you'd have to be really powerful to imprison Alice, and it seems these turncoats realized she might have brought more destruction than solutions. It's also boggling how she couldn't sense her kids were actually alive.

WHY DID FRED CHEAT ON DELORIS?

Fred and Deloris have a seemingly bulletproof marriage, doing anything and everything to protect their kids. However, we shockingly discover Fred's having an affair with a Presidio higher-up named Hannah. She works for the boss, Edith, and it seems they've been doing this for a while. But we never saw reason for Fred to cheat on Deloris. In fact, he loved her since high school and eloped with her amid the town's scathing racism, only to return to Presidio to follow in his dad's footsteps.

They shared a common interest in killing monsters so it makes no sense he'd cheat. Deloris has been the ideal wife so it's odd to see such a loyal family man behaving like this. Hopefully we find out why he strayed because there seems to be skeletons in his closet he kept secret related to his brother's death by Moshe's fangs decades ago. Seth got killed in front of Fred, who was spared, but still, Deloris supported him, especially as her dad went out in a similar way. Deloris forgave him when he confessed he ended it with Hannah but the twins deserve an explanation, and frankly, we can't see him being let off the hook so easily.

WHERE IS THE PRISONER'S SOUL?

Fred's dad, Samuel (Stephen McHattie), used a prisoner from a jail near Barrington-on-Hudson named Dante to conduct experiments on via warlock magic. He wanted to bring Seth back, and so he did, pulling the boy's soul back from the afterlife and into Dante, who wanted to repent for killing his own neglectful parents. This disfigured Dante and decimated his voice, leaving him an abomination housing Seth's soul.

However, we don't know what happened to Dante's soul. Chances are it's still inside there somewhere, and seeing as how dysfunctional the Allens are and that Samuel used Dante even amid all the shady stuff the geezer did for Presidio, one has to wonder when Dante will return to reclaim his life. He may have seen Samuel as a father figure but the old man really was a tyrant, and seeing as Seth killed innocent monsters for kicks, Dante might want his body back, wherever his essence lies. He surely didn't know the Allens were so messed up, so it makes no sense for him to keep aiding them.

WHAT HAPPENED TO EDITH?

In flashbacks, we saw Edith befriending Alice undercover, leading to the infiltration and slaughter of the Harlow commune. So when Alice returns decades later for her kids, she decides to use the town as vessels and bring some of her warlocks back. It culminates in Edith trapping her, only for the twins and Deloris to turn on Presidio. As Deloris leaves Alice to head back to her family, the warlock exacts her revenge on Edith.

She seemingly kills her off-screen but we know warlocks love to torture people, reminding them of the lives they took rather than giving them death aka the quick, easy way out. Speculation has it Alice could have taken Edith hostage for torture so we'd love to know Edith's fate. She would have info on other monsters and warlocks whom Alice might actually need to save to redeem her past so there's a good possibility she's alive. Plus, it's unlikely a main villain would just be offed like that without us seeing.

HOW WERE THE TWINS SUPPRESSED?

Presidio created special warlock chemicals that could suppress warlocks' powers, which is how they raided Harlow and imprisoned Alice. In the present, they use these same compounds in darts to take Alice and her reborn warlocks down again. So it's no surprise Fred and Deloris had "vitamins" they gave the twins over the course of their lives to keep their powers dormant.

But as they got older, their abilities manifested a bit more, making the pills ineffective. Still, while they got stronger, one has to wonder where they kept getting these pills from and who made them. Presidio didn't have such medication, so someone was getting the chemical compounds and producing it for the Allens. They couldn't steal it from Presidio, which was on lockdown all the time and monitored everything. Plus no one there was brave enough to help the Allens on the side. So it seems there's a secret dealer on the black market peddling compounds against magical entities.

Created by Damian Kindler, The October Faction is produced by High Park Entertainment and IDW Entertainment. The ten-episode first season stars Tamara Taylor, J.C.
