The following article contains major spoilers for the fifth episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi, streaming now on Disney+.

Fans of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy are absolutely ecstatic over the latest episode of Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The show's fifth and penultimate episode features a flashback to Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Anakin Skywalker's (Hayden Christensen) time as master and apprentice. The Jedi's respective hairstyles make it clear that this flashback takes place around the time of the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones -- not that it's immediately obvious that the sequence was filmed two decades after the fact, as both McGregor and Christensen have hardly aged a day.

Ever since the episode dropped, fans on social media have voiced their excitement for the flashback for a variety of reasons, such as the circa Episode II setting, the fact that McGregor and Christensen haven't lost a step and how the sequence adds a touch more depth to Obi-Wan and Anakin's relationship -- with some drawing parallels between their sparring session in the flashback and their fateful battle at the end of 2005's Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.

Obi-Wan Kenobi premiered on Disney+ on May 27. The series takes place 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith (which would also place it roughly 13 years after Attack of the Clones). The series opens with Obi-Wan, now going by the alias Ben Kenobi, watching over the young Luke Skywalker (Grant Feely) on Tatooine. However, Ben must leave the desert world to embark on a rescue mission when Luke's twin sister, Leia Organa (Vivien Lyra Blair), is kidnapped from her own home planet of Alderaan as part of a plan concocted by the Inquisitor Reva (Moses Ingram). This puts Obi-Wan on a collision course with the still-alive Anakin, now known as Darth Vader.
